What powers the coil packs
In the early days of electronic ignition the single coil was powered by an amplifier module which also contained circuitry to switch off the ignition system if it was idle for more than a few seconds as well as varying the dwell angle depending on engine speed and this was triggered by a pulse from a hall effect transistor, an optical device or an inductor and reluctor in a distributor.
When electronic fuel injection came along it was found improvement to engine performance and economy could be made by allowing the fuel management to talk to the ignition management, which by that time was controlled by a programmed electronic control unit rather than the distributor and contained the all-important ignition amplifier.
When the distributor gave way to multiple coils and coil packs the amplifier and other circuitry, probably for reasons of cost saving, was integrated into the fuelling ECU to make a complete engine management package, so to answer your question, it is the ignition amplifier(s) that power the coil pack(s) but in practice they, in recent years, are an integral part of the main ECU.
I suggest you check the wiring and connections for continuity between the coils and the ECU before you start spending loads of cash. A wiring diagram showing ECU pin numbers will be needed.
2000 montero sport front speaker positive wire
Unless your running a huge amp, it really makes no difference. The sound will come out either way you connect it. It will not hurt a single thing in your vehicle if you plug in the wires in any choice. I promise you.
To fix camshaft on montero sport-what would cost
it's not a big job, I would estimate maybe $100. Could be done in 2 hours I figure. I have owned a Mits Mighty max 2.0 for 30 years and that's my best guess. Don't have a shop jerk you around.
Where is crankshaft posing senser
These are usually right around the crankshaft pulley area. They pickup the signals from the front of the engine where the fanbelt goes around the lower pulley. The sensors are usually pointed towards the crankshaft right in that area of the crankshaft pulley.
A/c wont work at low speeds
it might be a good idea to have a shop take a look at the system to diagnose it correctly. Perhaps it needs to be refilled or recharged.
A/C compressor cycles on and off and blows warm in traffic why ?
Usually this is due to low refrigerant and you may have a slow leak. A temporary fix is to add a can of R134a to your system.
The dryer may need to be replaced if moisture is causing ice crystals to block the orifice. It always helps to have the system vacced out whenever you change any parts.
Try an A/C charge kit that has sealer and oil in it first.
A 15 year old SUV is due for a good servicing from a reputable A/C shop. Good Luck!
