Speedometer just stopped workin its like 180 is

Hi. There is a speed sensor mounted on the transmission. Check the wires that lead from the sensor to the instrument cluster in your dash. Make sure the speedometer is connected to the sensor, and the connection is not loose. If the wiring at the sensor, and speedometer are ok, simply replace the speed sensor.

Gear shift light out

It's inside the IP. There are resistors in it that seems to drop out all the time. I haven't figured out if it is a bad solder joint or from heat. But I fix them all the time. They are about 3/8 inch long X 1/16 inch in diameter. Dark brown in color. Located on the top of the board on both left and right sides. They do fall off. So be carefull when you open up the IP. They are hard o find on dark carpet.

Timming chain problems

I don't know what "timming" or "minic" means, but (from context) I'm assuming you think that you are having some kind of a a TIMING chain problem. The timing chain simply goes around the crank shaft sprocket and around the cam gear, turning the cam shaft. If it is in place, your vehicle will run. If it breaks, the vehicle will not run. If it is loose, your vehicle may run rough, but there will be an obvious rattling noise coming out of the timing chain cover at the front of the engine, as it moves the tensioner aroundr. That's about it for a timing chain. There is nothing else to it. Hope that answers your question! Now if you have an actual SYMPTOM you'd like diagnosed, try again.... and use spell check :)

2001 dodge 1500 4x4 governor pressre sensor

Remove the Transmission pan. It is the larger one of the 4 solenoids, it is the rearward one of the set of solenoids. Usually a black color and round like a small pepper shaker. If you are replacing this one, you really should replace them all. This governor pressure sensor, when if fails, usually causes the transmission to start off in 2nd gear and then upshift to other gears is delayed and harsh.

Code 449?

Code po449 is for bad  solenoid vent valve. After replacing the valve  check for the   12 volts at the "pink" wire.
This error relates too

The PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for the vent valve/solenoid in the evaporative emission control system.

Definition:
EVAP (Evaporative Emission System) purge/vent solenoid circuit condition

Explanation:
The solenoids and system wiring are monitored for opens or shorts

Probable Causes
1- Purge or vent solenoids defective.
2- Check connector and wiring.
3- Fuel saturated vapor canister.
4- Failed EVAP vent solenoid.

 --------

The cost of the vent solenoid valve is near to 30 bucks. And the valve is located near the gas tank.

Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

The best and easiest way would be to go to an auto parts store and get a Haynes owners manual, that would also answer future questions on maintenance and other problems in the trouble shooting section.

these trucks are equipped with an electric vent door motor known as a vent actuator. I believe the actuator that controls this vent is located behind the dash on the driver side.
