Dirty injectors...try adding 2 bottles of Lucas Oil Gas Treatment...drive a day or so and feel the difference...also old dirty gas...has your Lexus sat for awhile?

There could be a number of things wrong. It could be your battery is dead. or the starter has gone bad. or the ignition electric box which the key moves could be bad. It is kind of hard not being there.

Good chance it is your alternator.

Shouldn't need to remove. Bolt on side that adjusts tension. Release tension buy turning bolt counterclockwise . Tensioner should move toward engine and release belt.

Clearing the codes is simple that is done by removing the fuse of the EFI from junction box 2 for 10 seconds. Make sure to remove the jumper wire and switch the key off before clearing the codes. Very possible that the pump vapor locked itself. Had a 94 Lexus that done the same thing.

Contact points have worn out inside the switch, replacement is necessary.

Disconnect the seat heater and use a meter to check if there's any continuity on the heater or if it's an open circuit. If open, then heater is bad.

Heater control problem. Switch. If fan does not work, then could be fuse for the system. Owner's manual? troubleshooting section? Almost sounds like the heater coil has been disconnected from the radiator hot water supply system. Perhaps the heater coil was leaking and disconnecting it solved the problem for them.

Should be in front of driver side rear tire. There may be a splash guard that you need to remove to get at filter. Make sure no pressure on fuel system before you take any lines loose. Some fluid may come out of discounted fuel line, so be prepared. Loosing your gas cap may or may not help? Sometimes I plug the fuel line with something till I go back with new filter, then remove plug. I don't know if safely raising and supporting the vehicle, with tire removed will help? I'd have to look at it. There are safety issues anytime you work under a vehicle, safety is your responsibility.

Is this an automatic or a manual transmission?

Your wheels have spin sensors that activate when detecting individual wheel spin and momentarily stops power to that wheel and sends it to the others...you most likely have one of them going bad..picking up false spin sensing ,,common problem as the get older..should not be too expensive..good luck..

Its supposed to be to the right of your battery ( if you are facing the engine from the front of the vehicle) at least thats where it is on my 96LS400

Sounds like one of the pulleys is not turning. May be the A/C compressor clutch locked up. Thanks
