Most likely is : It needs a "Tune-up". That is, unless you had one in the last 5 years. A tune up should include new spark plug wires (for sure) and perhaps a part in the distributor or two, and maybe some new spark plugs. Other causes might be a plugged up fuel filter or a bad "computer temperature sensor". God bless your efforts.

you must remove the back seat bottom first pull it up from the back where the seat belts are stright up then lift out the front ,then the back will either be a torx bit or a 10mm nut two of them securing it to the bottom by the seat belts once removed some sort of divider to remove ,then you should be able to see inside the trunk look for a yellow t handle hanging from the trunk lid pull that and have someone pull up on the outside and it will open.
