sounds like you need a new laser

• There may be DVD region limitations on your device, and you use a DVD disc that is not listed in your device.
• It may also be the vendor of your brand DVD disc, including those that are not recommended.
• The format of the files on your DVD disc, does not support.
• Disc Optic is dirty / dusty. Clean it.
• Disc is scratched.
• Damage to the disc player.

• Make sure you have a non home made DVD. Some DVD players will not play DVD'S in certain formats.

• If you have a normal DVD in the DVD player and are getting "NO Disk" then there is a real good possibility the lens is just so dirty that it is not recognizing your DVD at all. This happens a lot to all disk players that are neglected from the cleaning process. Get a disk player cleaner and run it through a few times until the disk is read again. Sometimes the lens is so dirty you have to try a few times just to get the cleaner disk itself to play just to do the actual cleaning. Make sure to run that cleaner disk through once a week. These disk cleaners "sweep" the lens and work well. You can get one at your local Best Buy for $8usd.

• The last thing it could be is that somehow the lens has come out of alignment. Just a millimeter out of alignment is all it takes to not be able to read a disk and DVD players get bumped and knocked off the shelf easy. So this can happen often especially with the more smaller travel DVD player.

Hey,
For clarification, was this home theatre system purchased in North America? If so, in all odds it is a "Region 1" DVD player. To play a "Region 2" video, you will need either a 'multi region' player or one that is designated as a "Region 2"

i live in Thailand and just made my HT-TX500 region free,
this is what i did

your dvd must be off with no dvd inside
push power on wait til no disc come up then push enter
then push 84269 then push enter then wait for the dvd to turn off
wait 5 mins.then push power on and that worked for me

wrong reganal code most likely there are sites were you can unlock your dvd player (hack it) so it will play disks from anyware

Go to Samsung on the web and request the user's manual from them for your machine. It should have the uynlock codes!

Can you give a little bit more info on this: Is it that you are having problems with viewing discs because of watermarks?? Or have you updated your firmware and it is causing problems? probably you blocked dont worry unplugg it wait 2 mins and if your device has a reset switch just push it while you connect it. this most solve blocked devices....saludos

most of the movie if download from the net protected my different formating keeping people from burning and selling coppies. as long as your dvd play dvd is working fine. I got lots of those downloaded movies from a friend myself some play and some dont. I bet you if you go through most of your copy dvd some will play and some dont. Your sysytem may read some dvd VS mine may read some of your's that you system dont reads, you will not find a unit" DVD" will deformat the protection copy rights. I have 850.00 unit almost top of the line still wont read lots of copy DVD.

After the software installation completes successfully, connect the player to a USB port on your PC. 3. Samsung Media Studio program starts automatically once the player is connected to the PC. Follow the instructions.
