The closest symbol to the one you mentioned is listed at page 28 of the manual. It is the "elapsed playing timer" symbol. This function is controlled by the "Remain" button.

No. The internal hardware came by default with a software that not have the ipod compatibility. Maybe the new models could come with this feature.

Remove the 4 or 6 screws on the cover (they are located two on each side and probably one to three and the back side) rember to unplug it before from the electricity. Carefully try to reach the trail and gentle remove the dvds manually from the inside.

On the rear of your TV connect, with a phono/RCA cable to the Audio R + L sockets, connect the other ends to your Yamaha using the TV in sockets. See photos attached Hope that helps. HDMI is for video unless the extra pins are added for audio.

I believe that everyone experiences this. It is done by the network on purpose. I believe that there is a setting in most tv's to adjust the volume so that it doesn't happen. Every TV is different though but it is worth a look.
