What does FanChck mean on my samsung HT-Z320? How
I had the same problem with my Samsung HT-BD1250. In my case the fan did not run at any time! As a safety precaution, to prevent overheating, when the fan is malfunctioning the receiver powers off. I simply opened up the receiver and discovered that the fan was not even connected! I just plugged it in and.....Voila! Works like a charm. Be warned though that if your unit is still under warranty, opening it up will likely void the warranty.
My HT-Z310 surround sound says protect
The amplifier has a bad channel, the power supply is bad, or the amplifier is drawing too much power. The speakers could also be wrong, if they are not the speakers that came ith th unit, they will need to be replaced. (Any speakers within the specs of the amplifier will work, so to that end the system is customizable. You can go to Samsung.com to find the amplifier's wattage per channel, but the speakers you get MUST be 3 ohms impedance.) I have an article/tip/how-to as to wiring multiple speakers to one channel.

I've advice you to check your exhaust fan if working properly.
The processor shuts down the unit because it sense that you have a problem on the fan.
This is happen to avoid further damaged to your output I.C. which is quite expensive.
If the fan is not working then try to clean it, sometimes it is full of dust that caused to stop from functioning. If you confirmed that the fan is already defective then replaced it with a new one.
After replacing and the symptom is still there then I've advice you to look for a qualified technician because there might be sometime wrong on the board (faulty parts).
Pls rate my help.

Fan check
Guys, I know this is an old post but I had the same problem recently. Took it to my mate and he said the fan at the back was full of dust which was stopping the fan blades spinning. He sprayed it with compressed air from a can and it works perfectly. Complete fix for only five pounds for the compressed air off eBay

Hi the problem is, is that the system is overheating. Meaning the extractor fans inside the machine could be taking in excessive heat from over systems and the machine is trying to turn off before any damage to the system. Solution: Move it to a more open area!
Why won't the samsung blu ray players play all blu
Software on blu-ray players need to be updated occasionally. You may need to visit Samsung's website for instructions on updating the software on your player. This may be as simple as downloading a file or requesting an update disc.
Samsung HT-Z310 tries to load disc, but never does
I've had a similar problem where the disc continues spinning in the "loading" mode and then finally goes to "disc error." So, I opened the cover of the player, and noticed that the disc was not spinning as fast as I expected, and there was an extra unpleasant sound when the disc was spinning. Thus, I suspected there was an issue in the drive motor system: either the motor drive board, the motor itself, or the contact to the disc. I saw that there was dust accumulated on the rubber contacts to the disc, so I cleaned them with a q-tip. I then resetted the system, and the disc was the spinning normally again, and everything worked like before! (Other things I have tried in the past were cleaning the lens and updating the firmware, none of which worked) I hope this helps!
No blue ray
If I remeber correctly, the Samsung HT-Z310 is a dvd system.....not blu-ray. Won't play blu-rays - never has, never will.
When I turn my dvd player on, the volume will
When you've got good volume, try unplugging the speakers (only for a very short time) to see if that whining noise is still there or if it's stopped. We're trying to see if the whining is related to the low volume and "protect" or if it's only coincidental.Try unplugging all the cables (except the power cord). Turn the player on & off several times & see if that whining noise acts the same. Also see if the player goes into "protect". What we're trying to do here is see if it NEVER goes into "protect" with the cables unplugged.Last... try to get it to start & run without going into "protect", with all the cables unplugged (except power). Plug the cables in, one at a time, and see if plugging one of the cables in forces it into "protect". If so, there's something wrong with that cable or whatever's on the other end of that cable. Unplug it again & restart the player - no "protect"? Wait a little while, plug the cable in. "Protect"? Check the other end of that cable. If it goes into "protect" with nothing plugged in except the power, then the player is probably a write-off, ready to be replaced (it's not very often that DVD players are worth repairing these days).
