Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that. The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.SD TECH

Tv turns on then off after a few seconds.

Try this and let me know what you find:

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC:

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD “device” and “menu” buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC’s is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

let me know what you find--hope that you find 2 blinks, a pause and two blinks--this is the most common and easiest to fix.

if this has helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Do a Mitsubishi 73 inch tv have a reset button on it

System Reset Step 1 Open the front panel by pushing on it. Pressing on the panel releases the lock and allows the front panel to pop open slightly. Pull the corner gently to open the panel completely. Step 2Use a pointed object, such as the sharpened end of a pencil or the tip of a paper clip, to push the "System Reset" button.Step 3Wait about one minute, or until the green LED light on the front panel display stops flashing.Step 4Turn your television back on once the green LED light turns off.

Mitsubishi wd-65731.. timer light blinks then the lamp light blinks

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Blinking codes details of many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty. View the site by desktop or webview on mobile devices to see the "search box". Type in the brand name of your set in search box; to get gathered the related posts.

I have a Mitsubishi HS_U550 VHS recorder/player. The Power Button doesn't turn it on when plugged in to active outlet. No power up sound or display. Any suggestions to fix? Robin

Is yours fitted with a fuse in the wall plug? Replace that and see if that fixes the issue. Often the checking the simple stuff first saves you a lot of money.

I recently replaced the DMD chip on my Mitsubishi wd-82740. When I turned the tv on - the picture was about an inch @ 1/2 too far up and about an inch to the right and the picture appeared to be slightly zoomed. My question is - can I use the service menu for corrections or will I have to re-orient the DMD board?

This unit uses a DLP (digital light processor) chip and if this starts to fail then you will get spots appearing on the screen. The DLP chip will need to be replaced.

My 65 Mitsubishi DLP TV model # WD 60736 has a dark picture. I have changed the bulb twice and maxed the brightness and contrast controls and the picture is sill dark. How can I correct the problem?

Hello There!!!!!! Well this is gonna take some work... First thing to start with is... When you replace the bulb/s -does the bulb actually illuminate? If you shine a very bright light into the surface of the screen can you see a faint image of whats on the set? Do you get sound? If the bulb is illuminating, is it blowing soon after? Did the set return to normal operation after replacing the bulb the first time? Side Note-Never touch a high power bulb glass enclosure because you can leave oils and moister that lesson the life of the bulb or make it more prone to blowing. I have no facts to support this note beside my own experiences but this is a known "thing". Questions? Just ask. Mr.Mike

I have a mitsubishi 73inch and it's blinking green & shut off by itself

Several problems may cause your Mitsubishi television to shut off by itself. ... Plug the television in, replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker as needed. If the light is blinking green, a power surge or unusual digital signal was detected by the television. To prevent damage, the television shut itself off.

This might be the lamp ballast that is out. Parts for those units are hard to get because they are obsolete.
