The was a previous answer on Fixya ( John Betancourt Apr 25, 2019 What I did I open it up and removed the panel and clean out the fan.it was very dusty.)

I'm not sure that it will fix you problem but if it does let me know. There's a video on youtube which will a bit more helpful. It's called "Mitsubishi DLP TV Repair - TV is Blinking - How to Identify Blink Codes & Fix DLP TVs".

You will be needing a Mitsubishi service technician to fix that one.

My guess is that it is not economical to fix as it needs new screen. Unless it's under warranty but then you would not be asking. I had an off brand tv that I sold at my Radioshack franchise year ago. I had a customer get a tv with one white pixel constantly on. I replaced it for him. When I called the mfg, they informed me that this was allowable error in the b grade displays they used in their TVs. I quit selling them and put the bad one in my Rv. Still ticked me off when I watched it

Model number given indicates it should be a 2000 year model.

If so, it should have the self check feature; try to turn the set on and when the green light goes off: On the front of the set press and hold both the menu and input buttons for at least five seconds and then release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like: 2 blinks, pause and 2 blinks (2,2 error code is most common one). It will repeat the error code several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it may mean.

if this told you something you did not know rate this solution as "very helpful" as I do this here for free.

You can post a comment on this page.
