Oven temperature not working
An oven that is not heating up and that won't heat up is usually the result of an igniter being faulty for a gas ovens or heating elements for an electric ovens. If both your gas oven and your gas burners have stopped working then the problem is most defiantly with the gas line and will have to be fixed from someone that repairs ovens and stoves.
The oven will only heat between 77 and 287
Thank soooo much Benham!!!!!!! I would give u a hug if you were here in my house. I thought the oven was broken. I only had it for couple of months and it is brand new. I held the broiler button down and it is on (f). My oven is normal again. Thank you very much.
My kenmore oven will not come on and none of the burners clickp
If this was after a power outage make certain you are getting 240 volts. If not, it could be the breaker is slightly unseated. If you turn on the oven and then the ignition for the burners spark it is probably the power to the line. I saw this on another Fixya post for my Kenmore range and I solved the problem by firmly snapping in the breaker.
Oven won't heat
do you see a bright glow in the oven area when the oven is turned on it will take 20 secs or so..If not your ignator maybe bad no gas will flow into the oven unless the ignt. is good
Kenmore model oven door won't open after self cleaning .
Self cleaning operates at a very high temperature compared with cooking, so sometimes they have a solenoid or bimetal mechanism to lock the door so you don't inhale noxious fumes or start fire during cleaning. It is supposed to be disengaged ate end of cleaning when things cool down, so it sounds like it may be stuck? See if you can figure out the lock mechanism and try opening it by gently shaking the door while prying with a knife. Search online for a spare parts diagram from the model number and that may give you clues on how to get it open.
Kenmore electric range model 790.94359700 oven
It appears your heating element/coil has failed in this instance.
First - unplug the unit for 40 minutes and re-try.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Clock display won't stay lit
Same thing happened to our Kenmore range and I found a solution on the web about fixing this problem on a fridgedaire range. It was to hold down the clock button for an extended time ~15 sec. It worked for our kenmore and hopefully for yours too.
We are having a difficult
Passing on the solution. Some other blogger helped me, so I hope this will help you. Mine is a Kenmore Gas range, but the hinges might be similar. They are fixed on the door, not on the range. Get a couple sturdy nails or similar items and keep them in your hand. Use your foot to push the hinge all the way down, as if the door were fully open. You should see a hole in the hinge, in which to insert the nail to hold the hinge open. Repeat on the other hinge. Carefully lift the door in place and set the hinges so they hook onto the latches properly. You should be able to open the door a bit to take the tension off the nails. remove the nails, and that should be it. Even if your hinges aren't the same as mine, the principle seems to apply. My problem (maybe yours) was that I couldn't open the hinges and keep them open when trying to replace the door. They just would snap closed. Very frustrating.
I have an F029 error code on my Kenmore Elite double wall oven, what does it mean?
Communication between the user interface board and the touch panel can't be initiated
Disconnect power to the unit, wait 30 seconds and restore power. If the error returns, disconnect electrical power and check the wire harness connections between the user interface control board and the touch. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If you just replaced the user interface control board or the touch panel, you may have used the wrong part. Use your range model number to check the part number and install the correct replacement part. If you didn't replace a part before the code appeared and the wire harness connections are okay, replace the touch panel. If the problem continues, replace the user interface control board.
