I am not sure about your unit specifically but - most units have a fuse in the circuit board that blows and it is in the power section. Maybe this is the problem since you have done everything else that I would have done first. Unplug the unit and take off the back panel. look for a fuse in the circuit board. DON'T be sticking your fingers in there until you see the small fuse. Use an OHM meter to see if it is good or not remove it if it is bad. Radio Shack has fuses for about 4.00. I hope this helps

Try to reset it if possible. If the computer charges it then the computer recognizes it as a connected device. That's how usb works. It could be you need a new USB cable. Many devices that use USB for charging do not have the data leads connected in their cables. This is called a "vampire" connection as it only sucks 5 volts DC from the computer/charger .

Try to reset the devise and update the media player. Can be done from the Coby website. Also make sure the cord didn't go bad. I've had more than one cable go bad on me.

Typically this is the beginning of the end for your player. However there are some things to try. You can take a pair of pliers and bend ever so slightly as USB cable so that it places pressure on the bottom part of the connection on your MP3 player. I would try this with a cable you don't care for. I wouldn't suggest doing anything with the player. So many users bring my their blackberries that have the same issue. Most users do not come back to see me for quite a while or until the device is dead. These devices require tight connections, the only other option is pressure and that is what bending the plug does. Lastly, notice the two little notches that come from the wider side of the metal part of the USB connection. Are they protruding up even slightly? That may tell you something is wrong with your USB cables.

What version of windows are you using? Some versions will mark it not the brand but as an extra storage device. For instance I have a Sansa Fuze windows xp marks as extra storage while my vista my win7 and win 8 say Sansa Fuze.... This is a common problem with windows though a lot of mp3 show as an extra storage instead of the brand and/or model. This also more so if the mp3 is actually a lot newer than you OS. So if you open my computer/computer and notice an extra storage device added then I would most like say it's your player. Just a thought you may want to make sure you have all updates for you pc and check to see if there is firmware for you mp3. These could also be why it is not showing as you brand and or unit. My Sansa c240 older mp3 use to show up on xp as extra storage until I got all the updates. If there is still the problem of it not showing up even as extra storage then contact the company about the issue.

You need to download Odin for Windows, then download 4.1.1 firmware for your model. If it downloads in .zip files you need to decompress. After decompressing the file you will see a .tr.md5 file, this the firmware itself, this is the one you are going to flash. Also you need to have the drivers for you model device already install, you don't have them yet, install Kies and after installation reboot your computer. Now, turn off the phone, and to make sure nothing goes wrong let's hard reset the phone first by pressing and holding at the same time the volume up, home and power key, until you see the recovery page. Now choose Wipe data/ factory, press the power key to select, scroll down to yes and press the power key. Do the same for Wipe Cahe. Once that is done, go back to the recovery main page and select Reboot. Turn off the phone again, this time press Volume down, home and power key at the same time until you see the Android logo, this is the download page. Press the volume up rocker to start the download, open Odin, connect the USB cable to the GS3. Notice at top of Odin different squares, at the bottom of the first square it should display the com you're using, if it doesn't show anything then you need to re-install the drivers for your device. Once it shows the com number you are ready to go, make sure that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked, leave the others uncheck. Now click PDA, or in latex versions of Odin is AP, search for the .tar.md5 files that was decompress and choose it. Now click start at the bottom of Odin and wait until it shows Pass. Now you should be in 4.1.1 stock ROM. If you are rooted, this will unroot your phone.

Any Mini-B USB cord will work. Its a fairly common cord size. So if you have an older digital camera the cord from that should be the same. Most modern cells use a Micro-USB, but if you got an older cell the transfer cable from that might be a Mini-B. Or buy a replacement. Newegg or Amazon both will have them for less then 5 bucks. You can find them at most electronic stores, them just might costa little more. Search for Mini-B USB cord/cable.

Go to any store with a comprehensive A/V Dept. and tell them you need a coaxial input/analog output adapter with Toslink...they run about $13-$14 dollars

go to your local radio shack and look for a uninversal remote it will come with a sheet of codes find your system brand on the code list and fallow that instructions make sure that you do not lose anything for the remote because with out it you cant add any other systems to it
