Ok so if you can ping local host at 127.0.0.1 your Nic is good
step 2 ping the router and see if it responds
at command line cmd type ipconfig /all
see the network ip below the 255.255.255.0
called the gateway and try to ping that if you cannot you have a bad cable if you can then you have a router issue

Open Device Manager and set the wireless adapter Power tab to not turn off to save energy. Or modify Sleep mode to not turn off wireless adapters and USB devices. USB if you use a USB wireless adapter.

Plug in an ethernet cord and type in these numbers in the web address field 192.168.100.1 and enter admin for the username and Motorola for the password and log in.
Otherwise, find the reset button on the router. Press and hold for about 30 seconds to perform factory reset. Then you'll need to reset everything.

Have you registered this modem with your cable service?
Press the Standby button to reconnect Internet service. Check the coaxial cable at the modem and wall outlet. Check that the USB or Ethernet cable is attached at the modem and the computer. Try to reset the modem by unplugging the power cord from the modem and wait 1 to 2 minutes.
