It isn't in direct sunlight by any chance? Depending on how warm the unit is and how warm the temp outside is, it may take a longer time to cool down. Also if it was stored for a while or laid on its side, these too could take an effect on its performance. good luck!

It just stopped cooling. It was making a humming noise for about 2 weeks and by mid afternoon on Thanksgiving day - it just stopped cooling.

Your defroster timer switch may be at faught. The defrost timer turns on a heating coil to defrost your frige. This is only a guess since I don't have the year. Do this: feel the walls if they are hard and they have no give to them, then your fridge is frozen up solid and no air can circulate. Unplug you fridge for 24 to 36 hours. Put towels on the floor to catch the water. If the defrost timer is bad it will defrost naturally with room temp. Plug back in after 24 to 36 hrs and see if bottom is now getting cold. If it is the defrost timer, the solution is not cheap. It's up to you to repair or invest in new. Good luck Google burdfrenzy

I have a LRFC22750TT model Lg Refrigerator. When the doors are closed the lights inside stay on. VERY HOT! Dangerous! Any advice?

Hi!!
Check on the cabinet door frame for the light switch. Press it all the way inn and the light should go off. If this happens, the door is not pressing far enough to turn the light off. To fix this, place a self sticking plastic pad, like the ones you use on glass tables, where you set the glass, on the spot where the switch makes contact with the door to give it a little more reach. If the light do not turn off when the switch is pressed, the switch is defective. You can get a replacement at any Appliance Parts store for about $5.
You'll need the Make, Model and probably the Serial No. of your unit.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Refrigerator compartment not cooling

If you are sure the fan in the freezer is running and you don't feel any air flow out of the top middle vent inside the fridge section, then the damper motor must be bad. The damper motor is behind that vent cover inside the fridge section.
