Hold down "Energy Saving" and "Lighting" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds (or top left & right buttons). Display panel returns immediately. Or try pressing the power freeze and vacation buttons for about 3 secs and it worked great.

I went through this same thing! You probably can't find an eject button because there isn't one on the model that you have. It probably isn't turning because it's just stuck and you have to just have confidence that you're not breaking it and force it to the left - all of a sudden, it will "pop" and turn easily.

Finally knowing there wasn't an "eject" button saved me many hours of looking, and the tip about using the handles of the plyers worked great.

It is really discouraging to think you can't just screw out a water filter, but it isn't you. The directions are misleading - they don't match what you're seeing, and it doesn't twist out easily - it has to be forced....and THEN it twists out easily.

maybe it is lack of oil inside its bearing that causes noise and stop by high friction inside.

okay - we have had this same problem for around 6 weeks - We called a service repairman to come out and he said that these "floaties" are harmless bacteria. We should disconnect the filter and flush the system by using 1 gallon of water a day (wasting it) after the chlorine in the water is allowed to build up again then the "floaties"- bacteria- will go away---- gross :-( We will see if it works---

Sounds like the evaporator is icing up, possibly the defrost thermostat. Find where the cold air comes from and follow it back to the cold source, remove the covers. Your problem is that it only got seasonal use. Fridges are freezers need to be left on all the time.

The replacement thermostat also may be defective (it happens). However, there may actually be a circuitry problem that replacement thermostats can't fix.

My problem was similar to yours and my lg refrigerator model number is: LMXS30776D/02, I followed the steps like you with no luck. I just fixed mine last night and it's a pleasure for me to share with you my experience.As I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my fridge, as I was shaking and lifting the left front door of my fridge I noticed that the error code E: 15 disappear on the display. As we open the door back and forth for normal use,the error E: 15 comes back again.From that,I realized something wrong with the left front door of the fridge. I ordered a new left door, It came in yesterday, I installed it last night and everything works beautifully in my fridge, no more code what so ever. as a result, if you are experiencing the same problem,most likely you need to think replacing the left door of the fridge.
