The volume slider on my SONY MODEL: 'VGNCS11Z/T.CEK' has stopped working. I can do this manually by touching the speaker or the function key but on my keyboard the "slider" the touch screen thing is not registering when i move my finger across it, although the light shows movement it does not change the sound. Is there an easy solution to this? Any help appreciated.

SOURCE: I have a problem with keyboard volume control

You might have uninstalled a software on your system that support the function keys. Check the support website of your system. You might find the software for your keyboard shortcuts.

SOURCE: FN keys don't work on Sony VAIO VGN-SZ18GP

The solution is as follows, which worked for me:

- Install Windows 7
- let it update all the drivers that it needs to
- Install additional Sony drivers that you need (XP drivers work just fine, but make sure to install them in Administrator mode, so, Run as Administrator), such as camera, fingerprint scanner, etc
- Install the Notebook Control Device Driver (without this the other software does nothing)
- Sony Utilities DLL
- Sony Shared Library

* restart computer *

- Sony Video Shared Library
- SUS (Setting Utility Series)

* restart computer *

- VES (VAIO Event Service)

After this one the Fn keys will start to work. The S1 and S2 keys don't work due to something to do with UAC (but I don't need them anyway)

- VAIO Control Centre (will allow you to change what the S1 and S2 keys do, even though you can't use them :) )

That's it and it worked for me.

How do you adjust the flow of ab revile model bec400s coffee machine

I'm not 100% sure what you are asking here, but I'll link the Breville manual and point out some pages that may help you since I want to try and help a fellow coffee fan.

https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/manuals/bec300w/bec300w_operatinginstructions.pdf

Page 8 deals with coffee preparation.

Illustration 9 states:
To stop the coffee flow before touch the lit control or move the slider towards the back of the machine until it stops.

Illustration 10:
To manually top up your coffee, touch any of the controls within 4 seconds from end of preparation and touch lit control again to stop

Illustration 11:
To change the selected cup size during brewing select the new desired control. The machine will stop immediately if coffee volume extracted is larger than new desired control.

Page 9 deals with programming the water volume, and I feel like this may be what you are wanting to know.

Illustration 1:
Any control can be programmed. Completely open the slider and insert a Nespresso capsule.

Illustration 2:
Touch and hold the control while closing the slider. Release control when desired volume is reached. The other 2 controls flash for confirmation. Water volume level is now stored in the control used during programming.

Illustration 3:
Press and hold the Espresso & Lungo controls together for at least 4 sec. The other control flashes for confirmation.

To the side of those illustrations is the following note:

Factory settings are: 1. Lungo, Espresso, Ristretto controls 110 ml / 3.7 oz, 40 ml / 1.35 oz., 25 ml / 0.84 oz. 2. Automatic Off mode after 9 minutes. 3. Most frequently chosen cup size as Espresso control at 40 ml / 1.35 oz.

Happy coffee drinking!

Dragon touch tablet manual How do I turn off the volume of the table dragon touch 10".

If you do not have "+" and "-" buttons on the side of your tablet, you can change the volume via the screen.

The link below is for HP tablets, but can be used with any Android 4.1 tablet:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03678318

On the Home screen, touch the "All Apps" icon, and then touch the "Settings" icon. In the Device section, touch "Sound".
Touch "Volumes" to select custom volumes for media playback, notifications, and alarms.
Touch and drag the circle along the slider to adjust the volume for each type of sound. Dragging the slider left decreases the volume, and dragging the slider right increases the volume.

Can't hear the skype ring when a call comes into my computer.

If you're missing Skype calls because you can't hear the ringtone, it's time to crank up the volume. There are three different ways to increase the ringtone: within the Skype client, within your operating system's volume settings and by adjusting your physical speakers or headset. You might find it necessary to adjust all three settings to get the proper volume. You also must set your Skype status to "Available," because a "Busy" status disables the ring from incoming calls.

Launch Skype. Open the "Help" menu. Select "Options." Select "Audio Settings" from the left sidebar of the Options window. Find the "Speakers" listing. Uncheck the "Automatically Adjust Speaker Settings" box. Slide the blue volume slider to the right to increase the volume. Press the green play button to test the volume. Skype plays a default ringtone to test the sound. Adjust your computer's sound settings. Windows users, click the speaker icon in the taskbar located at the bottom right of your screen. Move the slider up to increase the volume. Mac users, open the "Apple" menu. Select "System Preferences" and click "Sound." Drag the slider to the right to increase the volume. Turn up the volume on your speakers or headset. Desktop speakers can be adjusted by turning the knob on the front of the main speaker. Headsets sometimes have a small button that can be pressed up and down to adjust the volume, depending on the model.

I have no voice at all, how wood i get my volum ajusted.

Hi!
1. If it is visible, single left click on the 'Show hidden icons' button, which is usually located near the bottom right hand corner of the screen. 2. Single left click on the 'Volume' icon, which looks like a gray speaker.
3. Single left click and hold down on the slider in the 'Volume' dialog box. As you are holding down on the left mouse button, drag the slider up to raise the volume or drag the slider down to lower the volume. When you let go of the left mouse button, you should hear a tone to give you an example of how loud the volume is now set. 4. Single left click on the on the blue 'Taskbar' to make the 'Volume' dialog box disappear.
Hope this helps. :)

No sound on the speaker.

common issues with no notebook sound are volume physical switch turned down. mute sometimes checked off under the speaker by the clock some laptops have a Fn button that corresponds with keys either on the numbers or F keys above. look for anything that would work with a Function key combination (often in a blue color) printed on the keys themselves. another common issue is , in the control panel under sound /sound properties people sometimes tick of the "Digital output only" which effectively mutes the speakers. one last thing. sometimes on laptops volume settings dont look like buttons , but are responsive to touch. look for a volume slider image and play with that too. hope that helps, cheers.

Sony laptop when opened and on the speakers squeal! The only solution to stop the speakers from squealing is to plug in an external headset. The squealing sound doesn't come through the headset....????...

It sounds like you have FEEDBACK

Open volume control.

When the box with all the sliders opens up click on OPTIONS (top left)
Click PROERTIES
Tick RECORDING then clck OK

The slider box will swap to the RECORDING slider box
Select the one you want to use as the recording SOURCE and put a tick in the box at the bottom.

NOW check that you dont have the microphone level turned too far up !
done it myself before now

Now click OPTIONS once again
Then PROPERTIES
Now tick PLAYBACK and then OK

You should now be back in the normal playback slider box
Whilst you were in the properties for either recordeing or playback you may have noticed a list of devices to show them as sliders tick them

Hp dv71245dx cannot remove from muted state.

hi
Go to Control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume. Check that Device Volume is at least halfway across the slider and that Mute is unchecked. Go to Advanced and make sure that nothing is mute. Go to Speaker Volume and set the sliders at least halfway across the slider. Go to Advanced, and in Speakers setup choose Laptop Stereo Speakers (if that's what you have). Go to Performance and choose Restore Defaults. Click Apply > OK

plz do inform if this has sorted out the problem

Sony vaio monitor with internal speakers

There should be an audio cable coming out of Monitor, you'll need to plug that cable in the ouput jack of sound card, turn on/increase the volume of the speakers using the switch, slider present on the monitor and then check. you may also consult the manual that came along with the monitor.
