HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx Notebook Questions & Answers
Pavilion dv7 starts up then shuts down
This sounds like you have a bad DC jack on your motherboard.
This is one of the most common problems with laptops and can be caused by jarring the DC plug in or hitting it into something or simply from normal use. As a result the pins on the DC jack become loose and consequently do not provide a charge to the laptop and battery. Wiggling the plug can make the loose pins contact sometimes which would explain why it "sometimes" works when you unplug it and plug it back in. Of course if this is the case then your battery is mostly out of power and that is why it powers off after a couple seconds. This repair costs between $150-300 from a professional repair shop and I would not recommend trying it yourself unless you've had experience soldering DC jacks
Another issue could be the CPU fan/heat skin if this is failing or the CPU is overheating the laptop will power off.
Please comment if you need further assistance

Most likely it is a fan problem. The fan could either be failing or caked up with dust. Most likely the laptop would have to be disassembled to get to the fan and repair/replace the fan.

Is there a keyboard that lights up that is compatible with my laptop?
Hi there! asking for keyboard lights! some of the solutions for ur problem are:
1. use external laptop keyboard with lights that are available in nearby PC store or electronics store else u may try it on online stores that may even offer deals.
2.Use USB light that illuminates light on keyboards that are more cheaper than keyboard replacement
3.If you are a DIY enthusiast and have hobby, and known knowledge of electronics try making LED illuminare from Ur laptop usb dongle out it may hav 4 pins say positive, negative, data positive and data negative and it supply around 5V supply with 1 amp current. try it may cost more cheaper than two solutions as i said above.
4. use low power bed lamp that focus on ur laptop keys.
thats all bro! Have a nice day! bye! any question :

How to remove power on password HP Pavilion dv7-1245dx
another method I have used that works is to remove CMOS batt as you have done before - do not replace it yet though.Power on the dv7 without the battery in then off by holding down the button until it switches off.Remove AC power hold down power button 5 secs to dissipate power and replace CMOS batt, plug in AC and test.Hopefully it clears the bios settings for you
Display on dv7 1245dx is dim?

4.On the adaptor socket main switch in main board
5.Watch the Laptop charging Light is ok or not. Also watch the Light in Adaptor is lighting normally or not.if all are normal then try 6th step otherwise problem in your Laptop.Just go for an authorised service center.

Try to connect to an external monitor and see if this give an image. If it does, then the Inverter / backlight or possibly the VDU cable on your laptop is damaged.
If it does not, the issue is most likely a failed graphics chip (common on these models). You CAN get the chip "reballed" but this will cost about £70.00, and not guaranteed to last
Not bleutooz
It can probably be a missing driver issue however you can fix this issue by downloading appropriate driver from your machine`s manufacturer website and then re install it.
