I have a mac and I lost the beliking g plus mimo installation CD and would like to setup a password

Most routers can be setup by typing their IP Address in the address bar of your browser. So long as your router is connected to your modem and your computer is connected to your router that is.
Typing

192.168.2.1

into the address bar could get you to the login screen of your router. Then you would just have to enter the user name and password. You might even be able to access a wizard from there to help you set up your router.If that doesn't work you could try 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.0 etc.

Connect a LAN cable from the Belkin to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Belkin configuration URL
http://192.168.2.1Login withe the default password = blank (just press Enter)
You can now configure the wireless settings.

Yes it is possible to configure this router with out the CD.

All You need to do is just follow the steps given below.




1. Connected a computer to the router using a Ethernet cable.
2. Open up a internet explorer.
3. Click on CTRL & O [The letter O as in oscar]
4. In the Open box that appears the top left corner of the internet explorer type the numbers : 192.168.2.1 & press OK.
5. This will take you to belkin router setup screen.
6. Connect the modem from your internet service provider to the yellow port on the router.
7. Click on MAC address in the router.
8. Leave the password blank & press submit.
9. Click clone & press submit.
10. And now check the Internet status the top right corner the internet status shows connected & will be able to go online.

don't need it...Just connect to it.  Linksys is bad about this too...telling you that you have to run cd before connecting to network.  Just connect to it.  There will be no problems..they just want their third party software on your comp.  The only cd you would need would be for the network card on one of the computers that's going to be on the network.  not the routers cd.
just run netowrk setup wizard or activate your wireless card and click connect to wireless network.  be sure to access the routers admin page via http://*gateway*   ie- http://192.168.0.1 and setup your security or people like me will use your internet without permission.

You can manually install it even without the setup CD , if you still have teh userguide you can find the steps there how to manually isntall it if you're having problem using the manual better call belkin support to help you manually setup that.
