I', trying to install my old dell a940 printer on my new acer aspire 5920 notebook. i went to dell's website and downloaded the driver (i thought), but when i tried to download the firmware (whatever that is) i got a message saying it couldnt find a driver. When I try printing I get the message "windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup".
I'm not real computer savy and could sure use some help.
I have the same problem but with an acer 5570Z. It used to work with the dell all-in-one, however, one day it just stopped working. It always says it cannot communicate with the printer. I've tried uninstalling it, and reinstalling it several times---no luck.

My Acer 5620 will no longer accept the Dell A940 printer disc.
