You have had Win 7 for TWO YEARS? Hmmmm well anyway thats the problem. You see Win 7 and games don't MIX, the only way may help is to run in compatibility mode for XP SP2, and Run & Install as Administrator.
The Laptop is not responding to the Software request sent to the BIOS or one is not getting there.
Best Solution is to make sure all of your Microsoft Updates are performed. Not just the Critical ones... but all that apply. You may see several hardware driver updates.
This will help the Software and Hardware to communicate with each other...
This is a direct link to the Dell site for all of your Inspiron 1525 Drivers. Choose the XP operating system and all driver choices will come up. I STRONGLY advise against go elsewhere to get these drivers, especially when you can get them from Dell directly.
you'll need to buy an install disk, from there you just have to format the drive ( or get a new one) and install it on that, once that is done you'll just have to download all your drivers to bring it back up to date.

Hi, Its most likely that you have
downloaded a very old version of software with the same name. The dell support
website has many listing when you search for Dell Dock. Always use the website below
for the latest version of Dell Dock application. http://www.delldock.com/ Hope this helps. Please rate
your feedback! Thanks, VJ
Nominally you might get a more accurate answer by going to support.dell.com and entering the 'service tag' number (on the bottom of your machine next to the 'express service code'.
This machine also includes a field in the BIOS setup program; hit the F2 key when you see the Dell logo to start the BIOS setup program.
