Lexmark Pro901 All-In-One Inkjet Printer Logo
Anonymous Posted on May 20, 2011

We just bought the Pro901 about 3 weeks ago and it has been working fine until today when we got a "Printhead" error. Following the instructions on the machine we removed the printhead and wiped it per instructions. replaced it and still get the error message to take the printhead out and replace it. We did notice that it seems that one single stripe does not clean off when the head is wiped. Is this a faulty printhead?

Updating the firmware for your Lexmark Pro901 printer will help fix the problem. You will need to get rid of the error first before you can successfully update your printer. Follow the steps below:

1. Open the cover of the printer > remove the printhead. If the printhead will not go to the center, turn off the printer and pull the printhead to the center.

2. Once you have the printhead removed, close the cover of the printer and turn on the printer.

3. It will ask you to "Open Cover to Install the Printhead". Press the Home icon.

4. It should take you back to the Main menu.

5. Proceed with the firmware update, go to http://bit.ly/p905fw.

6. Once the firmware update is successful, you may reinstall the printhead. Follow the steps on the printer screen.

If error continues to display on your screen even after updating your printer, it could be due to a faulty printhead. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center or visit Lexmark’s website for additional assistance.

"nf" error code on Maytag front load stackable

I think your hunch is probably correct. "nf" is "no fill" or "slow fill" so if the machine is in a cold enough location it likely has frozen supply lines or inlet water valve. About all you can do is slowly warm the area around it with a space heater or wait until Spring. I wouldn't try to warm it in a day though. Frozen pipes that are thawed too quickly can break, leaving you with a real mess on your hands, possibly even structural damage to the property. All you need to do is get the temps above freezing, it doesn't need to be balmy. If you use an electric heater make sure it is well away from combustibles and the machine if possible. When water lines break they tend to spray where they want so keep that under consideration when placing the heater and make sure it's off the floor. If i started warming the room today i wouldn't even try to use the machine for a week. And i'd babysit it as much as humanly possible. Good luck.

Sounds like you have a defective camera. You might want to take the camera back to the place you got it and get a replacement. You can try removing and reseating the batteries to fix the problem.

Try opening the printer and checking for a paper jam.
It's also worth removing the toner cartridge and placing it back again, therefore forcing the printer to go through the diagnostic cycle again. Sometimes that solves the issue.
Hope that helps!

Says my printhead has a problem. wont print

If you are using generic ink, the printheads have gone bad. The printheads cost around $65.00 each. and generic ink ruins them.
