Constant jams indicate a mechanical problem with the printer - possibly a worn or chipped gear, or mis-aligned component. You'll need to bring it to a shop to have it repaired. Try googling something like "computer repair [zip code]". You'll get better service at a small shop, usually at a more reasonable price, than a large chain such as BestBuy.

My HP 610C printer yellow light is blinking after the paper is taken in. The power light is steady. Therafter the yellow light blinks continuosly. Please help.

Follow each of these steps until the problem is resolved:

  • Remove the paper from both paper trays.
  • Press the power button once. Wait a moment for the paper jam to clear.
  • If printing labels, verify that a label did not become detached while passing through the printer. If the paper jam was not resolved, continue on to the next steps.
  • Remove the rear access door.
  • Remove the paper jam through the opening at the back of the printer.
  • Replace the rear access door.
  • Reload the paper into the paper In tray.
  • Print the document.

Paper jam, but no jam + paper feed problem

check to make sure there aren't little pieces of paper jammed at the ends of the roller. if you can pop out the roller easily you may find tiny pieces of paper still lodged in there

There are pieces of paper stock on the sensor, when the paper jam happened then you pull out the paper did you get the whole page of the paper or have missing pieces? open the paper guide, turn off and on the printer and observe the unusual objects in the roller, this error is caused by objects in the sensor.
