You don't say which version of windows you are using. There is no windows 10 driver so you would be picking up a generic driver when plugging in via usb. If windows 7 or 8 then UNINSTALL (not delete) the Universal driver and install the US version 2.2.6. It wont be the printer as printers only print what they get. Its definitely a driver issue.

The thermal cut-off is defective on the fuser. The fuser assembly will need to be replaced. If your printer is less than a year old you can get it repaired thru OKI DATA.

Error 173 is an upper heater temperature. It usually points to the fuser unit Power the printer off, make sure the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet not a surge protector also remove the fuser unit and reseat. If the error 173 message continues, the fuser unit will need to be replaced.

Try to clean every rubber roller in the printer. Make some soft "paper" wet with vinniger (Juuice from grapes (not to drink but for in salad's)) and rub it over the rollers. So they can transport paper better. If possible, removing the rollers, and then cleaning. Ralf.

i dont advise reseting eeprom as it holds vital info for running the printer

You might have a leaking drum. Or toner might have spilled in the printer during a cartridge change. if you have a HEPA Vacuum with a soft bristle brush lightly vacuum any spilled toner in the printer and try again.

its a toner tag error make sure you are using correct toner for this type of printer the model #s for colored and blk toner are 43502301(3k) and 43502001 (7K

You likely have the front panel locked out. If you can connect to the printer using a web browser, go to "Security" then "Panel Lockout". It is likely set to "Lock" -- change it to "Unlock" and save the settings.

The toner cartridge is only a supply chamber. The cartridge simply dumps toner into the feed hopper in the drum. When you change the drum the feed hopper is empty and it is likely that the cartridge dropped the last of it supply into the hopper - ergo it is now empty. I recommend shaking the toner back into the cartridge before separating the cartridge from the drum unit when changing them
