False ink empty

Are you sure its exclamation mark?..
This warning message related to print head. (warn out). When you are replacing ink tube assembly use dummy print heads to do the priming (new ink tubes are empty & they have to fill with ink)..
Action: Remove all cartridges and print heads, switch on the printer follow the screen message.(Insert cartridges first next dummy print heads).once its recognizes cartridges then it switch over to print heads, insert dummy print heads. Once printer recognized the dummy print heads, printer will perform priming, during priming dummy print heads will filled with respective inks.(follow the display message)Remove dummy print heads & insert normal print heads. Wait till printer recognizes print heads, load the paper & wait till performs the calibration, once calibration is successfully done issue closed.
If calibration not successfully done, check align print out for which print head is not printed properly, replace it..
Pl ensure that minimum 50% ink levels required in cartridges before performing the priming. Best of luck..

Message says: remove and check right cartridge.

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink or toner cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridges that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks or toner causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead or photo conductors.
If you are using factory new ink or toner cartridges, then please call the manufacturer’s Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

After selecting language and pressin OK message on LCD screen "set the ink cartridge". Cannot go any further than this message except switch off. Restarting brings back the language.

The solution was simple. The printer belonged to a friend who assured me he had replaced both ink cartridges when they ran out. So for some time I did not check them. On removing one cartridge it was obvious that he had accidentallyor unknowingly removed the contact strip on the print head so the printer could not detect or use the new cartridge. An expensive mistake for a newcomer to home printing as he had done the same to both cartridges.

New tri-color cartridge has a problem. I can't see what.

I have an HP Photsmart C4100 printer. I purchased remanufactured ink cartridges (both black and tri-colored) from Vivasmart. The black one works fine, but when I installed the tri-color, I got an error message that says "Print cartridge problem" The following print cartridge has a problem:
Tri-color.
And I can't print. The screen on my printer says "Remove and check color cartridge." I have done this several times and it still won't print. I have turned off the power, removed the cartridges, and unplugged the unit, but it still didn't help. Any suggestions?

Remove & check cartridge message

What you could try do is to remove both cartridges, close cartridges cover
Unplug printer for awhile, at least 30 minutes
Plug in printer and wait until printer stop
Reinstall both cartridges
This is to let the printer reset and do a new installation of ink cartridges

Printer message is 'remove and check cartridge'. have done that and put in new cartridges but message stays. can print a test page but it will not print anything else

I assume something has happened during a print job and you are seeing this message on the 6110's control panel display. Either there's a "clog" in the flow of ink or an issue with the electrical contacts between the cartridge and the print carriage. Unfortunately, HP.com doesn't list this error message on the web page for 6110 errors.

You can go to the following web page and follow the instructions to clean the electrical contacts I mentioned. The problem you are seeing can also be caused by an incorrectly installed ink cartridge or one where the protective tape strip was not removed before installation.

The latter is likely if you see this error message right after you've put in a new ink cartridge. It's easy to put the cartridge in incorrectly or not to correctly latch it in place. It's also really common to forget to take the tape off before installing the cartridge.
