Hi i have a problem with my router. Its only allowing one user to connect to it. It never behaved liked that when i bought it, so all of a sudden its behaving like that now and its really frustrating because i have more than one user in my household. Could some one help me solve this problem. I have a TEW-430APB C1 trendnet router.

if you press the reset button at the back holding it in for about 10 seconds, that should set it back to it's default. Then in your address bar log back into it. The default username is usually admin and sometimes the password is admin too. If not it's either password or there is no password so you can just press enter on your keyboard. This way you can set it up the way you want to. Just be aware that if you use WEP 128 bit, you have to have 26 characters as a password. If you use WPA PSK then you only need 8 characters. You should be able to access this from the word wireless in your options list. I would run the setup again first and then do all the configuration next. Lets hope this helps you out.

To change your router wireless security
Connect your PC to the router with a cable to one of the LAN connections - Now you need to Log into the setup of the router - to do that open a web browser, use Internet explorer (some routers setup pages do not work correctly with other browsers) In the browser address bar -
Enter IP address http://192.168.1.100 to the address location.
When there is a screen needs to enter the User name and Password, both of the default Username and Password is “admin”
Now you can goto the wireless section or secruity section and set the type of encyption to WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK etc and then make up your own password. See Page 12 of the User Manual
On the PC
Double click on the wireless connection in the system tray (bottom right hand side of screen) and then connect manually to your wireless signal - you will be asked for the password you set in the router.
Now you are connected.
