I have 824 installed at my office, with three CO lines. All CO lines were working OK, but one out of them can not be selected now, and any body dialling from outside to that number gets a busy tone. In case the number is removed from exch than that number works fine, that it dials and all calls are received too.

If the CO line works properly when disconnected from your system KSU, something in the KSU is keeping that line off-hook. If the trouble isn't caused by a phone that's holding the line, try resetting the KSU by shutting it off and unplugging it from the AC line. Reconnect the power and turn the system back on. This should clear up the problem if it was due to the controller being confused, which can sometimes happen. If the system picks the line again and holds it, check the phones for one with a stuck line select button. Then you'll need to have the KSU serviced if the trouble continues.

How do i configure the panasonic kx-tes824 to allow outgoing calls?have done all the settings using the console software from my laptop and everything is working fine but i cant call outside lines.

Hello, How many CO Lines do you have connected to your KX-TES824 Phone system?. The ports that are not connected need to be deactivated. Go to CO -> Detail and uncheck the ports that don't have lines plugged in and click apply or OK

Our office pabx is a Panasonic KX-TA616. I am trying to program personal speed dial on a Panasonic KX-T7730 (which has 12 CO buttons on the right but no Personal Feature buttons). Neither of the...

Look carefully at the part number on the phone and where you posted. A Panasonic 7730 set has 24 buttons, 12 left side C.O. buttons and 12 right side PF buttons. A TA30830 (new style) has 12 buttons with LED's. In our country, the TA30830 needed 824 version 2 or greater software to work.
In your country the other mate to that is the KXT-7667.

If your phone is one of those and actually works, as in any Panasonic set, the LED buttoon requires a "2" in front of the digit sequence to tell the system it's a PF button.. So, PROG button 2+access code+number STORE saves a speed dial. The access code is what you dial to get an outside line.

We have Panasonic KX-T7731 telephones in our office. we have three incoming lines and approx. 7 extensions. the phone co has assured me they've turned on caller id capabilities for all three lines but...

A 3x7 system with 7731 phones tends to show that you have a TA-624/824 series system. CID is delivered to the phones via a xxx93 card and programming. In a 624 it connects to the main board via a ribbon cable and is installed in the system cover. The 82493 cards plug into slots on the main board. Once, or if, the card is installed, it needs to be turned on via programming. At the very minimum, program 900 in system programming turns it on and there are other parameters that you can adjust in the 900's.

Hi, I've just added and expansion card in my panasonic tes 824. but the problem is although the additional extensions are working. no additional CO lines are being detected. when i go to the CO line...

No. At the very minimum, you need to go to program 400 (3.3 in the U.S. Maintenance Console) and turn on the lines. Access may have to be enabled from each extension for both outward and ringing programming might have to be added.

I have attached this cordless to KX-TA824 supporting 2 incoming lines. How can I select which line (CO 1 or CO 2) to call from?

If you start with intercom dial tone, press 81 or 82. If you dial 9 you'll get line 2 before line 1 in normal programming, and if you dial a line that's busy with 8x access codes, you'll get a busy, even if the other line is free.

Of course, you could also RTFM and program the system to function with your TA-824 http://public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TA-824/UG_TA_0823%5B1%5D.pdf
Starting on page 15 or so of the pdf, after you set up the keys, you'd press the > and 1 or 2 to get to lines 1 or 2 :-)

How do i get the voice mail off my phone

7730 phones tend to be installed on TA series phone systems, which have TVA or TVS voice mail systems on it. The VM comes from the FWD button being set to forward calls to ext 107 or 115. Is that the voice mail you want to remove? That's cancelled by dialing 7100 on the intercom.

Your voice mail could also be coming from the central office. That's where you dial a phone number or press the MESSAGE and blinking CO button to retrieve it. That's removed by the telco.

If your phrase "get the voice mail off my phone" actually means retrieve your mesages, that should be able to be done by selecting the intercom and pressing the MESSAGES button. You may need a password or to follow the tutorial if you've never set up the mailbox. Panasonic sysgtems still take messages on new mailboxes but you have to set it up before you can get them :-)

A word of caution, the 7730 phones work on any of 18 or so Panasonic systems. It was made during the TA-624/824 TAW848 era for analog systems, but most Pana phones are backward and forward compatible.
The solution provided here is for the TA 624/824 systems.

Hope this helps.

A 2 MB xlsx file is taking long time to open and save - consuming 50% of CPU - making Excel screen go white - using 55 MB RAM - auto calculation off - any ideas to resolve this

Solution 1.) If you have installed PDF maker, which can get installed when you install scanner software, the Excel add-on can potentially cause Excel to open slowly. This is more common in Office 2007.

* Close Excel and any other window you have open
* Open "My Computer" and browse to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\XLSTART
*

* When you open Excel, check to see if the time it takes to open the xls/xlsx is shortened.

Solution 2.) This can be fixed by reinstalling Office but there is a faster way to fix this .

* Go to your Control Panel, (click on Start then Click on Control Panel)
* Click on Folder Options, then File Types,
* scroll down to and select (DOC for Word files) or XLS (for Excel files),
* click Advanced and select Open entry,
* click the edit Button.
* deselect "Use DDE"
* append "%1" (include the quote marks) to the end of the application command line,
* Remove /dde if it is at the end of the command line
* Then click on OK three times.

If the issue was being caused by DDE, then when you now open a Word doc file or Excel els; they will now open faster, without a long pause.

Microsoft office stopped working properly

ok no problem, normally using a disk defragmentor will not harm programs or how your computer runs at all, only speeds it up by getting everything to work in sync which is good.

ok....if you are using vista, go to control panel, then programs and features, find Microsoft office 2004 or 2007 and click on it to highlight, now right click on it again, you will see some options come up, select repair and follow onscreen instructions
....if that doesn't work select uninstall by right clicking on it again and follow instructions, this will remove microsoft office from your computer ok, then use your install cd/dvd to re install microsoft office suite.
........also i think it is possible to use your install disc/s to repair or reinstall.

Toshiba dk40 system ringing

do all of the lines appear on all the extensions? if so, the procedue is fairly complicated, you need to go into the programming on port 05, then go into program 04 and get all of the port numbers for each extension, then in program 81-89 you need to select each when you want the co to ring, in either day 1,2 or 3, and complete for each co line that you want to ring
