There's a "do not disturb" button on the cradle. If it's red, your phone won't ring.

Just a thought as not an expert have you tried re-registering your main phone to the base unit?

It might be in the vibratiing mode (silent mode), go to the profile settings and you can change it to normal..

The number of rings BEFORE going to record is probably set too low.

If there is a kessage recorded and it is in "Toll Saver" mode that will also do it. This is a way for one to not have to pay LD charges if reading out the phone remotely. Clear ALL stored messages as well as upping the rings before answering machine.

It sounds like the phone system base station is burned out.

Press the mute button to turn mute off.

I don't think that is possible on that model of phone. This is a phone with only the basic features and a fixed ringtone.
