Asko W6021 won't start

My Asko W6021 washing machine won't start. The power indicator light is on, and when I hit the start button I sometimes hear the "click" that usually comes before the washer fills, but nothing happens after that. I think that one of the circuit boards may be fried, but I don't know how to get into the front access panel to investigate. I also read on here that it could be the motor brushes?

Can someone send instruction for how to get into the front panel of the machine? Any other suggestions for what to do and what may be wrong would also be appreciated :)

My Asko W6021 won't start and the door won't open when buttons are pressed, although the power appears to be on (the red light comes on after power button has been pressed)..

Open the drain hatch at the bottom left of the machine. Open drain pump and check to make sure tat there are no foreign objects in drain pump. Object in the drain pump will prevent the unit from operating properly. If there is water still in the unit, you can use the drain hose to drain the washing machine. If you would like to open the door manually, disconnect power, remove screws holding red plastic handle in place. pull handle.

My Asko W6021 washer doesn't run. The power light glows when the power button is on. When I press the start button the machine "clicks" twice after a few seconds but does not start. I replaced the fuses...

The question being incomplete I think you mean the motor is not turning , so check the output to the motor after the water flows in, if there is no action of the inlet water coming in , filling and voltage to motor, then the program controller is faulty. If voltage comes to motor but does not run then it canbe the motor , check the capacitor if this of the capacitor running.

The machine will not go on. It is stuck. It is a front loading Asko. I opened it and took out clothes by popping it open. Now nothing works.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I wonder if you could elaborate and clarify on the issue and the events which led to it as well as the model number of your Asko.

When you say "machine will not go on. It is stuck", is there no power, no led indicator light or it just won`t start.

Specifically what you mean by "I opened it and took out clothes by popping it open".

Do you mean you opened via the button which "pops" it open, or did you pull the emergency pull cord or in fact force it open some how ?

Also when you state "Now nothing works" does this mean the unit has no power and will not come on or does it just mean there appears to be power, but will not start.

I should be able to assist you when I can speak directly towards your model as opposed to generalizing since even within the Asko brand there are many models to cover.

I`ll watch for your reply.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)
