Check the brushes oin the motor. It's the most normal fault when this problem appears. Not a big thing to fix for a technician!

Check the drain line to make sure the water does not siphon out as it enters the machine.

If your washer is indeed a WFL2066, than the not spinning is directly relatedto the unit not draining.

These machines by design cannot spin if the drain is inadequate.

Here is the first step in resolving the problem, you need to access the drainpump/filter to clean it.

To reach the filter and clean it...

**Unplug the washer from the dryer or wall, or turn off the 30amp breakerat the home service panel...safety first**

1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of thewasher.

2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where awet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works aswell.

3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out.Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or yourwasher detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreignobjects/obstructions.

4) Re-install the lint trap insuring it is good and snug/tight. Beforeclosing up the small access door, run a short rinse spin cycle to check forleaks.

switch.
2. Press the Door Open button while
simultaneously pressing the main power
switch. Release the buttons.
3. Press the Key button and the red field goes
out. Automatic door opening is now
deactivated.
4. Press the Start/Stop button to save the
setting.
If you want to reactivate the function, follow
the instructions above, but when you press
the Key button (point 3) the red fields light up.
Store the setting by pressing the Start/Stop
button.

Welcome to FixYa.

This can be associated with worn brushes in the motor or a sign of a damaged spot on the motor armature, hence when you spun the drum off of the dead/damamged part the unit began to operate.

If capable one can remove the rear panel, and with the aid of a flashlight inspect the brushes and armature.

I'm surprised how often I hear of these motors being replaced when in most cases a new set of brushes will remedy the problem...alas I guess there is more profit for technicians for relatively the same amount of work in replacing a motor.

Let me know if the problem re-occurs or if you'd like a service guide into inspecting the components I alluded to.

If you replaced the latch - there should be nothing left in the door - what side did you replace? The striker or the reciever?

You can open the door manually: Open the filter flap at the bottom left of machine- you will see a red loop attached to the machine by a screw- remove this screw and pull down on loop- door will open. If you go to www.asko.com.au, click on "customer care", then "manuals", and type in "W640" in the "Search product" box, you can download the entire manual for your machine. Chapter 13 has picture showing how to manually open door. However, if the machine is tripping the power when switched on, you obviously have some electrical fault in machine, which will require the attention of a technician. At least you can get the clothes out though!! Happy fixing!!

I solved this problem this morning, after several months with intermittent "water outlet fault" error messages.

Our pin trap was cleared many times over the months. The propellor turned freely. However, the problem persisted.
So I unplugged the machine, removed the back panel (8 or so hex screws) and located the point where the drainage hose meets the water draining pump. I then separated the hose from the pump and found 2 United States 10-cent pieces lodged together with gunk that effectively blocked the drainage hose. 10-cent pieces ("dimes") are the perfect diameter to get stuck there and not appear in the pin trap where you could easily see and remove them.

Three loads later, the machine is working according to spec. Hope this helps.

Hi there,

This error only means that there was a problem on the water inlet on the washer. This could be a faulty a water inlet and need to be check for any problem like:

Water not pumping out, or pumping out too slowly. Check pump for obstruction or foreign objects jamming pump, or kinked drain hose, or blocked outlet/U-BEND.

TEMPERATURE - CELSIUS OR FARENHEIT
If you want to change the temperature indication from Celsius (C) to Farenheit (F), proceed as follows:
Turn the main switch, off and turn it on again. Press the Enter button five times, then press the P2 button five times. These ten times must be completed within fifteen seconds. Within three seconds after pressing P2 the last time, use the < > buttons to select temperature indication.

If you get the water fault after checking the lower drain, you may need to remove the drain hose in the back. Usually there is a dime in the hose or the hard part right before the hose.
