I just bought microsoft lifechat LX 3000m but i can't hear any sound when i used it to listen to music or watch movie. it has been installed already

Go to Control Panel>Large Icon View>Sound>Playback Tab>Right Click The Headset Icon>Properties>Advanced Tab>Change the Default format from CD quality to DVD quality and voila. :D

Did you check if the music is audible when it is plugged.

i just bought the LX-3000 headset and it working fine but there is no sound .. i cant hear any thing

Uninstall the first download in the Delete Programs menu and then try re-installing the software as a fresh copy

There is no need to dodownload something. assuming that you have already installed correctly the audio card drivers. If you are able to hear sounds from the speakers, the audio card is installed correctly. So plug the green male jack to the green female jack and the red male one at the red female jack (if your headset has no mic, is only headphones, there isn't any red jack). From now on you must be able to hear sounds from the headphones and talk to the mic for someone to listen.

ok i putted the mic volume to off and it stopped

Yea, you can, you need to co to control panel and under sounds set the 360 head set control which will be your microsoft wireless control to default....but the sound is crapy..it seems that the manufacturers never designed this device for that kinda sound, only those who are talking to you with another mic...so i suggest sticking with your speakers or a good set of ear phones
