This is classic fuel starvation, start by removing the fuel hose from the tank and replace the filter on the end, if no better, it may be a tank breather issue, when the saw starts to die slacken the fuel cap, if the saw picks up you need to replace the breather, if no better you can make a small adjustment to the H screw on the carb, unscrew ( counter clockwise ) the H screw this will richen the mixture, you will need to pull the anti tamper sleeves back on the screws, this can be done by gently screwing a suitable self tapping screw into the sleeve, when it hits the screw head under neath the sleeve will start to pull back, once pulled half way off you can enter a 2mm screw driver through the centre if the sleeve and intp the slot in the adjuster screw underneath.

Engine backfires

Check carburation and if still problematic, ignition timing.

Husqvarna 2-cycle trimmer starts fine, idles fine, but won't run with the throttle open. it will rev up but any kind of load will just about kill it.

May need to have the unit checked. Could be something as simple as a clogged muffler, air filter, fuel filter or engine wear or damage.

My husband bought a 2011 Husqvarna YTH2348. I am the one that mows the grass. We had the mower serviced last week. We have a HUGE lawn and I mowed all but the orchard. The next day, I went out to finish...

Black smoke is generally indicative of a rich fuel system. whitish blue smoke is generally burning oil.
It sounds like there is something wrong with the fuel metering at full throttle. You might check that the mechanical compression release isn't coming on when you go to full throttle.

I have a husqvarna 455 rancher that won't run at full throttle unless the choke is on. It runs at half throttle fine.

Clean or replace the fuel filter. Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. Check the muffler for plugging of the screen. Be sure to run with fresh fuel mix and to shake the container thoroughly each time just before filling the tank to prevent oil starvation. Hope this helps!

Husky 455 dies out at full throttle or under load

Your carb may be the issue but your ignition coil could be the culprit. Once they start going bad, they can act up intermittently or give various symptoms from day to day. The fact that your saw dies at full load or under load, probably means that when your saw gets hot or requires more spark, your coil is not able to provide it. Your carb is easy enough to clean out, you can take it all apart and clean all screens, etc....

I just replaced my coil due to the exact same symptoms and now my saw runs great. $60 off ebay and you can put it on in 15 minutes yourself. Check your carb first though
