Model kv25g8xmc5 mixer. Can the brushes be replaced on this motor? Seems like this will require taking the motor apart and it won't budge despite removal of the 2 long housing screws.

if the brushes can be replaced there will be a black plug in the housing above each brush
use a flat bladed screw driver to undo those plugs
if no plugs , take it to an appliance shop and see how it is done

How do I open dismantle breville mixer Bem400

Undo two screws under the base which holds the entire top portion. The base and motor section should now separate. Remove the tilt lock from the tilt shaft, it needs to have two plastic tabs gently eased apart to slide off, there is one screw under here. There will now be three exposed philips screws on the underside with two more under plastic plugs nearer to the front of the mixer. Remove the two larger plugs to expose two more philips screws. These 5 screws hold the case together with a moulded clip at the front of the front of the mixer. ( Tip: a bead of hot glue on the plastic plug gives something to pull on with pliers, and not damage the plug)

Hobart three phase mixer is spinning the wrong way

Sounds like the polarity. Easily corrected by swapping the red and black position of the wires inside the plug. Make sure there are no other power sources feeding the unit before removing the plug.(the white and green wires should not be moved. Easy way to remember wiring a three phase plug. Most are labeled on the inside of the plug with GXYZ. G is always the green ground wire. X-red (Indians were here first), Y- white ( then came the white man) Z- black ( then the black man)

I have the 300 watt hand mixer and the retreactable cord no longer holdes when pluged in. It's been broken for some time. Is there a fix to this problem.

The prongs on the plug have worn, and the plug can be replaced (for less than $2 USD) from any
hardware store, just cut off the old plug, and wire the new plug onto the cord.
Remember to keep the cord's conductors correctly oriented: the conductor on the Bravetti Hand
Mixer that have the uncolored stripes (in the insulation) is the Neutral conductor, the other is the Hot conductor - assuming your abode is wired to standard US 120VAC.

Power Plug damaged.

DO NOT USE THE MIXER UNTIL YOU MAKE PROPER REPAIRS!

You can buy a replacement plug at a home center to replace the damaged one with.
Make certain if the old plug is polarized (one blade slightly longer or wider, depending on how you look at it, than the other), that the replacement is of the same type.

If polarized, it will be important to connect the wires properly once you have cut the old plug off.
If the old cord has a black and a white conductor, the black goes to the narrow blade, the white goes to the wider blade.
If not colored, then not the cord will be ribbed. The ribs go to the wider blade, the smooth goes to the narrow blade. Be sure you get this correct for best electrical and shock protection.

Need replacement motor for Hobart M-802 mixer

Hi Dan. Two options. The first is to call Hobart and ask about a temporary replacement mixer while your original motor is being rebuilt. They'll charge you for it, if they will do it at all. If Hobart is doing the rebuilding, they might give you a better price or a free loaner.

Second. eBay often lists hobart motors for sale, you might get lucky and find one quickly. Since you absolutely must have a working mixer for your business, you might consider having a spare motor on hand for just such an occaision.

If this solution has assisted you, please rate it. Good luck! ricardok45
