This indicates that router can't detect cable modem or this is unresponsive, probably your modem is logically tied with your PC (MAC address associated), that's why when you connect them directly work fine, if this is the case, you'll have to clone the MAC address of your PC into your router, this should be at Setup Menu, Manage MAC addresses option.

My modem light is orange. every time i reset it it goes from blue to orange

Hi Christopher s crisp,
Is it blinking Orange or steady?
Blinking amber: The Router can't detect the modem. Either the
modem is off, is not plugged into the Router, or is unresponsive.
It could be the modem.
You can try connecting the modem directly to computer bypassing the router and see if that works.
Check the LED on Modem.
Do you have other computers to test the connection?
Might need to talk to ISP if issue with Modem.

Let me know.
Thanks

Unable to configure my wireless belkin N150

As i understand you have a router provided by your ISP: MTNL, you need to configure the Belkin router in Dynamic mode and not in PPPoE. Then restart the devices by unplugging the power from MTNL router and Belkin. Wait for 20 secs, then power up MTNL router 1st, wait for all lights to get steady and finally power up the Belkin wireless router. Then you will find the modem and internet light lit up properly.
For any further clarifications, revert!

Thanks and regards,
Arvind

Trouble setting up my belkin N150

Do you have a user name and password to connect to the internet?
If you have that then you will need to set the router to PPPOE connection.
If not , then you will need to set the router to DHCP mode.
First make sure that your computer will be able to go online through the modem. It is very simple and you don't need the CD.
You can set up the router like the DSL connection.
