The transformer was screwed to the bottom of the box. To fix it you have to cut a few wires and crimp or wirenut them back together. You'll need a #2 phillips screwdriver and a flat bladed screwdriver and also some snips. Scissors may work. Pull off the front plastic grill carefully from the top. There is a little circuit board that slides into the switch on the front of the unit. It will pull out. Unscrew the 10 screws on the back and the 4 that hold on your speaker in the front. You must cut the speaker wire because it is soldered at both ends. If you wish you may unsolder a connection, otherwise just snip them. There is a twist tie stapled to the inside which must be untwisted and wires are glued in two places. gluing them back may be important or they could rattle around in there. I Anyway the flat bladed screwdriver is needed to pry that glue off and release the wires. Don't nick any of the wires or mangle them. Don't touch the capacitors and ideally don't work on it if it has been plugged in recently. Otherwise you should not be able to have it all apart and screw that transformer back down. good luck!
