I keep getting kicked off of live. its saying its not responding to icmp responses.

I am guessing that you were able to connect before this problem happened, so you have to restart your network hardware. To do this:
  1. Turn off your Xbox 360 console and network hardware (for example, your modem and router).
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Turn on your modem and wait for it to come back online (approximately one minute).
  4. Turn on the next piece of hardware (for example, a router), and wait another minute.
  5. Repeat step 4 for every additional piece of network hardware.
  6. Turn on your console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
  7. Select Network Settings.
  8. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
  9. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

I cannot sign into xbox live?

what kind of error are you receiving when you get kicked off? or what screen is it sending you to when you are kicked off? Are you logged in wireless or hardwired to the router?

Wireless not working

Run the network tests from within the 360 menus - looking especially at the result for network address translation (NAT). If this is either limited or fail, you will need to change your router for one which is compatible with xbox live. Try xbox.com to work out which routers are recommended.

As far as your router kicking him when you connected your pc, then you must have altered the access permissions of the router maybe by accident.

If all else fails, turn off the pc, router, modem and 360. Find the reset button on your router and press/hold this for at least five seconds. Turn on the modem, then the router. Let that settle for a minute, then connect and setup 360 and laptop.

XBOX Live & Netgear Router Help!!!!!!!!!!!

You need a excellent signal to your Xbox. Xbox requires a constant connection. My son as an Xbox and we had to run a wire connection to the Xbox no problems after that. Or you need to move your wireless router to the same room as your xbox to get a stronger connection.

Belkin F5D9230-4 router with xbox live

I was having troubles with a belkin router as well. i called belkin tech support and they never helped as they would not accept that the router was the problem. i found i could connect the xbox directly to a modem and it would work fine but when i connected it through the router it would always disconnect from games or not allow me to join a game, only host them, with no one else joining. no matter if i forwarded the appropriate ports, put the specific ip address into the dmz or even turn upnp on (i've tried different combos of each, all on at same time, to even setting up manually) and nothing would change. I found that the router had an option to turn off NAT which belkin told me would render the router useless.  I decided to go against them, turned it off and set the ip and dns to go with the modem. Now everything works fine as the router just acts as an expensive multi plug and wireless system. all the computers in the house can connect to the internet at the same time and access eachothers hard drives and i can access xbox live fine with no problems. there is also no lag when playing gtaIV multiplayer with 15 other players.  i hate belkin tech support and i will not pay for another expensive multi plug connector from belkin... ever.

Hooking up xbox live

Well, it's very possible if you are using a wireless router that your connection may not be strong enough. XBOX Live and most online gaming requires a steady. strong, high bandwith connection. A weak singnal, OR someone else using up the bandwith (i.e. someone downloading music on another computer connected to your router) can cause the problem.
If you're using a wireless connection, try moving the router and wireless game adapter closer to each other.
If you're using a hardwire connection from one of the routers outgong ports then make sure other's aren't on the internet (Or at least aren't using alot of bandwith) while XBOX Live is being used.
Please remember also that if you have a wireless network and you haven't implimented wireless secruity (i.e. WEP or WPA encryption) then your network is "Open" and anyone within range can connect and use up your bandwith,
