My 2004 Mitsubishi WS-73713 (rear projection CRT TV) loses picture and sound - the screen goes black but the power stays on. When I turn off the TV and turn it back on right away, the TV works fine for a few minutes before it goes blank again. When I turn off the TV and turn it back on, it works fine for a few minutes before it goes blank again. This keeps repeating.
I have tried all inputs (Comp 1, Comp 2, Input 1, Input 2, Ant-A, Ant-B, DTV) but the problem remains no matter what input is used and what source the picture is from (Antenna, DVD or Satellite).
Sounds like the CRTs are going into protective blanking due to the vertical output ic needing to be resolderd. Try resoldering the vertical IC that may possibly fix the issue.

I Have A ws mitubishi WS73713 Tv and i have a suimilur problem where it turns on for about 5 minutes and the it looses signal input
butr i can turn it back on and it works fine for another five minutes
it never powers off it only looses inputs dvd satellite or mem card
but it never turns off
i can still access all the on screen menus but i have no sound
if ytou have an answer i would like to try and fix it miself
ill keep looking on this site for an answer
