Beware some technical handyman is necessary for you i think because of high voltage on some parts(inverterboard and mains), It could be some active components on the circuitboard that they can be badly soldered. try with a wooden object to manipulate some components on the circuitboard, a canister coldspray can sometimes also help to search loose or faltering components SMD components or some bad capacitors, loose supression coils on inverterboards can even be happens.

sounds like a convergence problem. This model is prone to having intermittent convergence, especially when first turned on.

Mitsubishi is about the only one that MAY have that but it is no picnic to replace.

Sounds like a convergence problem which is common in these sets This model uses two of the stk394-250 convergence output devices or chips.Both would have to be replaced.

You have a common problem in the DM (Digital Module), more specifically the DM power supply. There are four electrolytic caps in that supply 16v/1000uf that are bad and likely buldged from heat stress. Replacing these caps and the E2P module, a small stand-up board further back on the main DM board should restore normal operation...
You might be lucky enough to have a tech come out and simply replace those caps in-home. It's not a really big job for a qualified tech.

check ur connection cables,,try new cables and diffrent video input,,,and even try a new device to send signal to tv,,you no dvd or bluray,,

If the picture becomes all distorted after a while, either with colors not matching, or deformed image with bands on sides or up and down of picture, then you need to replace the power amp ICs in the convergence board. This is quite a delicate job and it is done desoldering old ICs and soldering new ones in the convergence board. More components like resistors and capacitors in convergence board may need replacement.The power supply must also be tested, as sometimes a PSU problem may cause a similar effect (if colors are not matching is convergence by the way).

Cost to replace convergence ICs starts at about $200. It can go up to $300/350 if there are further problem. To get a quote and to locate an authorized technician in your area contact Mitsubishi Support.

probably your lenses need cleaning.......take out the cover and try to clean the three lenses which project lights by cotton.

sorry to tell you there is no lamp persay, but a lot of people call the three picture tubes inside the setbulbs but they are not bulbs tell your friends they are wrong!!!!! these are not usually not a end user replaceable as it takes special tools asvwell as tools to replace a picture tubeTechman:>(

Someone first needs to check the module inside to see if their has been fluid leaking at least get it looked at this is a great tv designed to last alot longer then the new ones
