Why do we have sound but no picture?
This is an older picture-tube projection TV.
There are just a few things that can affect all three color tubes at the same time. One of these is "Blanking" and the other is the High Voltage.
Blanking happens when there is not a good signal to the TV, and the high voltage and therefore picture are shut off to protect the high voltage system. Make sure there is a good, strong signal to test it from, like a DVD player, otherwise the TV could blank off from low signal levels. A signal good enough to produce sound may not be good enough to keep the picture on, so that is not a good indication of good signal.
The other, High Voltage, is complicated and dangerous to work on and best left to a qualified technician to work on. High voltage in a TV can hurt or even kill you if you get across it.
My 55313 power light dose not come on
The SMPS section is not oscillating. Your TV need a through checkup. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not
attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electric shock. Instead, contact any experienced service
technician, or the nearest service center.
Inputing HDMI signal to a WS-55313 55 via an HDMI-DVI cable
HDMI standard is a bear, especially "Older" versions. It should be possible to input HDMI to a DVI, either DVI-I or DVI-D, input, there are however DVI analogue too, in fact we have, 3 type of them, they are, DVI-I, DVI-A & DVI-D.... Also some HDMI do not send the Audio over it, as it should, so all in all it can be a pickle. So you MUST get a converter that works with your sort of DVI. You would have to select that DVI, input, which may be under Auxillary, or External or the like, try scrolling through your AV inputs, see if you "Find" it. if so, the set will "Read" the signal and display it automatically. The Audio, however will have to be done via the AV sockets, the Red & White stereo IN, from the DVD etc. If you have any other inputs such as Component Video, Green, Red, Blue, then this is the best way... The Audio, again must be routed to the AV, the Red & White Jacks. So ensure you have those outputs on your new DVD.
I have included a couple of links below about DVI & HDMI for your convenience.

Broke mpthe mirror in my WS-55313 Mitsubishi projection tv while moving it. Just wondering how much it will cost to get a new one. Is less than 100 dollars reasonable? We dropped it while moving it an
A few notes:First if the mirror which hangs at a angle facing the screens comes apart it can come forward and smash the inner screen. The best way to proceed is remove the entire front screen frame:remove speaker grill on front under the screen (if cloth it should pull out in one piece (a few are two piece). With it removed look under the bottom front edge of the screen unit--left to right there are several identical screws and you have to remove those. If the front controls (vary by cabinet style) are in the bottom front of the screen unit there will be wires from them hanging down--should be an inspection plate dead center behind where the grill was.follow the wires from the front control board down with the inspection plate removed and locate the one or two inline plugs and disconnect them (they pull apart and are marked)With the screws at bottom of screen frame removed and the keyboard free pull out the frame from bottom and slid up about 4-6 inches the entire frame with the screens still in it.Do not when you do this twist the frame as you can pop the screens right out.Set the frame and screens to one side making sure not against the screens and avoid touching the inside screen inside the frame. You should now be able to see the mirror clearly, be careful if cracked as when you release the screws that hold it in it may come apart and use gloves---broken mirrors are very sharp.Mirror should if you see the plastic and wood slots for it not be too hard to remove and replace. Vac out any small glass as light from the set inside can reflect onto the new mirror or even the inside of the inner screen and be seen in the picture. You almost certainly are going to have to get the mirror from Mitsubishi---price it with shipping but since its a 55 inch mirror almost any mitsubishi mirror that size will work perfectly--some shops save them....hint.Most of those mirrors were at or over 100 dollars and a few sites on the net sell replacements in case Mitsubishi is too high.Hope this helps and let me know if need advice.
