Generally this printer can be separate into 4 major part: Printer body, Toner container, Developer unit and Drum unit. The developer unit is the unit where the toner container "mount" on it and it should be removed to allow cleaning task every time the toner container is replaced.
U may get this error message if the developer unit is not install properly after u replace a new toner container. Just lift the developer unit together with the toner container out of the printer and then insert back properly into the machine.

I had the same problem with the Kyocera P2135dn: missing developer unit. I have cleaned the developer unit by the older toner (i think the toner was a poor quality one) and added a new toner. Now it is working just fine.

How do i fix problem Add Toner
The Ricoh has toner and developer. When the developer is depleted it can not get to the right density when toner is added so the machine keeps saying to add toner. You need to clean out the developer unit and put in new developer. Depending upon your model you may need to install a drum and blade too. Ricoh technicians are trained to dissemble the unit and just replace the parts needed instead of getting a whole drum/developer unit. The printer continues in Self Test, the printer is stuck at this point as it tries to continue to cycle through the power up.
Try to power on the printer without the toner kit and the waste toner box. If the printer stacks again at self test. Next step.... remove one part at time and check if the printer displays any message. First remove the developer unit and power on the machine (normal message "Missing Developer Unit"). Then pull out the fuser unit and power on the machine (normal message "Close Rear Cover"). And finally, remove the Drum Unit and power on the printer (normal message "Call Service 7410").
If the printer still stacks at Self Test, then that is not a good sign. Try to upgrade the printer' s firmware (system + engine). There is a possibility to go further from Self Test.
If it does not, then you have to replace the main pwb.

How can i settle the problem of magenta developer finishing so fast. Magenter developer for Konica Minolta Bizhub C550 is getting finished so fast.
If the message Change Imaging Unit Magenta displayed refer to imaging unit with contents a developer.The Imaging unit life is 80.000 copies.
The imaging units located after front door when is located the waste toner box.
If the message M toner end/change the M toner displayed refer to toner cartridge
The toner cartridge life 15.000 copies 5% saturation.In full color mode the color saturation is 80% and the color toner life is 6.000-8.000 copies.
I think your problems is a toner not the developer.

Ar-5316 showing error ch
CH steady means cover is open. Close either front or right cover well.
CH blinking means developer unit or toner cartridge not installed. Remove and return well and firmly.

Hello sir; the error code you display is toner senser problem, now the first thing you have to do is make a full color copy find out which color missing then pull out developer unit from missing color the senser right underneath, replace it.
