The M2008 set (NT9K08AD03) doesn't work on a CICS system. It works with the Meridian PBX systems. The type of sets that work with a Compact ICS system are M 7100, 7208, 7310, 7324 and T 7100, 7208, 7316, 7316e as well as some of thier cordless sets.

Meridian M3820 - why is display not working

Try another 4 wire phone cord from the wall jack to the phone it is possible that you have a bad cord. These phones will only work with a Meridian System .2 wires are line ,the other 2 wires are power to the phone. If you have another phone try plugging it into the same wall jack to check the jack/line itself. Anything else would be a defective phone/ lcd ( note you can have dial tone without display, but the unit will only access one line.

I have tried but have been unable using feature #806 to cancel seeing the time date to seeing what is the number of the incoming call when i try to cancel it gives me invalid code. i have checked with...

Wow. First of all, did CID ever work? If you happen to have a CICS (Compact ICS system) walk to the system and look at the cards in the big tall slots. There will be a CI indication in the upper right side of the card to show that it's caller id (Part number in the center has NT75 in its part).

Start with that first. The installer password is in the installation manual. You can look around this forum to find if anyone has shared that password, but it's beyond the scope of a free forum for me to give out a password that can be used to destroy a system's program.

Meridian M7310; just installed replacement phone (used); line 3 disconnects when answered. Lines 1 and 2 work fine. They are in the loop. Line 3 is dedicated fax incoming but can be used as outgoing phone.

Normal 0 Hello, Gary.

Disconnect power and cables from all phones and faxes on the line 3. Wait 15 minutes and reconnect the line again, one at a time. See if the Meridian works. If not, it could be faulty.

Hope this helps.

How can i change the time on my meridian M7324 phone NT8B42???

Programming should be done from the M7310, M7324 or the T7316E set. Administration access code: Feature * * 2 3 6 4 6 which also is Feature * * A D M I N.
If asked for a password enter the same 2 3 6 4 6.

If that doesn't work you may have the newer Compact ICS or the Modular 0x32 control unit which will be Feature * * 8 4 6 3 which is T I M E. Password is 2 2 7 4 2 which is B A S I C or A D M I N which is 2 3 6 4 6.
When in programming just press the next button(lower right arrow) until you see what you want to change. Then press show ( top right arrow) ,then change if you want to change it. If you pass it, press back (lower left arrow)
Example: To change the Time & Date Press next until you see Time & Date. Then show Then Chng Then change again, change it if you need to, Then next again until you see what you need to change. For example; only the hour needs to be changed for day light savings time. Just press next until you come to the Hour. Then Change it. Then press release RLs when your done.

Nortel Meridian Norstar-Plus Compact ICS with #7310 phones.

I'm pretty sure CID is automatic on a CICS....IF you have a CID trunk card. You might want to post the part number on the face of the trunk and we'll see if it's the proper one.

Meridan 7208 help please

Dear sheryl498,

Your phone is designed for a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) unit like the Compact ICS or the 6x16 TCU that was at the office. It is not compatible with regular POTS lines or standard home lines.
