This is not a fix but a comment about using the male to male audio cable. I immediately tried this and I would have been satisfied it it were not for the fact that the music coming out is weak and hardly any bass coming out. So based on my experience, there is a world of difference between the music playing when I used the docking station vs. music playing when I used the cable in the aux-in socket. My docking pin is broken... Half of it is still attached but It will fall off if I try to use it. I was thinking if I can use a conductive glue to plant it firmly. Anyone tried a conductive glue?
