It is possible the Software is either dormant, it means it needs activating, or it was not installed when windows or sony Vaio was downloaded.
Go to Sony website and downdoad for free

Replace the Cameras Wire Harness, or the Camera itself. You can obtain the parts from Sony

Please download the Driver and install in the Computer. After installation, please restart the Computer.

Then, please download and install the Camera Application in the Computer from the below link.

Make sure that you restart the Computer after each installation.

Yeah.... i can understand... Simply download the drivers of your MOTION eye from the Website of Sony Vaio laptops... by doing this it will rollback the upgrade and will automatically install proper drivers needed to make it work... RATE my solution it helped you really...

I have windows vista sony vaio vgn fe880e buying at america, but I dont have drivers of motion eye web camera

Windows Vista is not the greatest at working on proprietary machines with drivers intended for XP. Can you get a driver from SONY for the motion eye that supports VISTA? I had Vista on my new machine (Dell) for all of 3 minutes before I uninstalled it and put a brand new copy of XP on. It's stable -- and works. Vista is squirrelly.
