I am unable to locate any wireless networks. Also its not allowing my broadband to connect. Tried to uninstall hp Wireless assistant but would not uninstall

1. Download the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.
2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
# Step 2 : Uninstall and re-install the wireless driver.
The wireless device drivers may be corrupted or the properties are not set correctly. Use the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the wireless device drivers. Manually delete and reinstall the device drivers.
1. Click Start.
2. Type Device Manager in the Start Search box,
3. Then Click Device Manager to invoke Device Manager window. .
4.On the Device Manager panel, click the plus sign (+) next to Network adapters to display the installed adapters.
5.There may be multiple network adapters. Right click on the Intel or Broadcom Wireless Lan adapter and select Uninstall. When prompted, click OK to confirm removal.
6.Shutdown and restart the notebook. The system will reinstall the proper drivers during startup. Follow the instructions on the Startup Wizard.
Now download the appropriate wireless card driver and install it.

you will need to search the wireless networks again as the old settings will still be assigned to the wireless card.
