this sounds like a problem with either the screen or, more likely, the graphics chip. If you can't replace the graphics chip (if it's not on a separate removable card), I'm afraid you'll need to bin it and buy a new machine.

Well the problem will determine the cost. Try to connect an external monitor to the laptop. If the external monitor displays a normal screen then it's the LCD and the cost of replacing the LCD will average about 175.00 but if the external monitor also has the same problem as the LCD on the laptop then it's a much bigger problem, and the problem is the video chip on the motherboard. may be possible that a cord from monitor to cpu is loose.
if not it is a problem in the driver ic and the cost of repair is about 20-25$

it is very simple, by default in monitor circuit RGB (Red, Green, Blue) tube is installed. and in combination of both of three colors we are able to view colorful image. due to non functionalty of Red color u r not able to view red color in screen, either you replace picture tube or purchase new monitor. coz cost of this tube is equal to monitor.

Did you install the monitor driver? It sounds like you did not. 75Hz refresh is high, try reducing it to 60Hz at least long enough to get your settings fixed.

well that Would be a VGA Cord(BLUE COLOUR) which u have connected the other one with the white port will be DVI port.if u want better Display connect ur LCD with DVI port.u will usally find this port on a graphic card.

Sounds like a video driver problem. Download and install the latest drivers for your video card.

LOOKS LIKE A BURN SOLDER !! , open the monitor , check the PC BOARD around the transformer area , look for burn spot or cold solder , RE solder it , try again , hope this helps please rate solution and thanks AJ
