Like i said before i do not know how to advance the camera

1. You should always format memorycards for cameras IN the camera itself.

2. Try another memorycard and check if all is working fine.

3. If you get the same problem, check if the memorycard is well seated into your
camera. If so, your camera may need service.

i think your touch screen is gone because it might have fallen so  it had the crack. 

Sand can cause problems.

Please advise, my dimage x50 wont focus clearly pictures are blurred is there a way to correct this?

i just got a new camera the dimagne x50
and i brang it out today and it was working fine it didnt drop or anything
i took a picture then turned it off then i turned it on agian and when it was on the camera format the light kept on blinking yellow for the longest time and wouldnt let me take a picture so i tried the video format and it worked so im just wondering why the video format is working and not the camera ?
has this happened to you? is there any way of fixing it?

I really think this is the classic zx - 50 shutter motor problem : small motor on the side of the mirror box is not cocking the shutter . This is very repairable but unfortunately it requires fair amount stripping down of the camera to get to the fault and so you will have to take it in for repairs.

yeah the same thing happened to my camera last month and I just went to the repair place yesterday. Apprently Casio products arent that sturdy so if they get hit the lens can become misalligned and you can't fix it yourself. A new lens is more than the camera itself so if you have to get a new camera I wouldnt suggest another casio one. Good luck.
