Have an Imagerunner 5180 giving err code E000007-0102 - Tried to clear it while in the service mode and it continues to give shutdown sceen - cant find anything physically wrong with the copier - Anyone know what this is?

In service mode do in service mode
(COPIER >FUNCTION > CLEAR > ERR).
this may solve the problem. The code is due to the irregular supply to heater assembly. If J303 at DC-CON board is opened then the code may display.

This is error given by the thermistors in the fuser. Not detecting a temp change or too much temp difference between the thermistor ( front edge and Middle ). You can reset it by going into service mode. Press additional functions, then 2 and 8 at the same time, then additional functions. Press copier, then function at the top of the display, CLEAR, then ERR, then OK. Power down the copier using main power switch. Wait a few seconds then power up again. If the error continues then you will have to have the thermistors replaced if the heater is working. The heater should give an E000 code if not heating up.

I think this indicates thet ypou have a fixing film rotational error.
When the fixing motor is driving, the marker signal has not been detected for 6 seconds or more.

Check the fixing unit, and repair as needed.

Reset this in service mode
Enter service mode by pressing *, 2&8 keys together, then * again.
Go COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR ERR

Problem should be checked out by a technician as clearing the error is not going to make a problem go away if it's there (although to you it may appear as if it is), but if you must. You can go into Service Mode (Additional Functions > 2,8 > Additional Functions), Copier > Function > Clear > ERR. Select the ERR to highlight then turn copier on and off using main power switch (on right hand side of copier. Wait 10 secs or so before turning back on).

e001 is a fuser error. it might be able to be reset, but should be looked by a tech.

SERVICE MODE
*28*-press the additional func button, 2&8 at the same time, and the additional func button again.
when you have done it correctly, the screen will change and it will say service mode across the top.
Then select:
copier
func
clear
err
press the done or ok button on the lower right side of the screen.
turn the machine off at the black switch on the right side, wait 10secs, turn back on. should work.

An error in the rotation of the fixing film is detected.
The reading of the main thermistor is 100°C or higher and, in addition, the fixing film sensor does not detect the rotation of the film for 6 sec or more
while the fixing motor is driven.
I think - The fixing film sensor is faulty.
Caution To clear the error, execute the following in service mode:
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.

you also have to high lite service mode and clear that or the error will return
