1. reset your router on factory reset and after try to connect your router, if you get success then you re configure your router agin with IP address 192.178.1.1
Try to uninstall the driver for your wireless USB adapter first. When you reinstall it, make sure to install just the driver of the wireless card and not the utility that came with it.
Make sure to install the USB adapter's driver and utility. If it's installed, you need to use the Belkin WLAN Utility to connect to the wireless network. You should be able to find the signla coming the router and you can connect to it
The Belkin card will come with third party software you can disable this utility by right clicking on the icon in the Taskbar and choosing "Use Windows Zero Configuration".
Then you will need to go into Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Services >> Wireless Zero Configuration >> Right click and check that the service is starting automatically >> click on Start >> Apply - that should then detect your wireless network and the internet.
hi.. it has been seen that due to some reason the wep key doesnot work... u can try changing the key type to WPA instead of WEP... go to the router page and change the security type to WPA instead of WEP.. 1 more thing in vista you can use the windows utility only...how come is it possible that you are using the card utility as well..i suggest you to disable the card utility and just use the windows default utility.. vedhick.....let me know if u need steps to change the security type to WPA..
1) Install the wireless card on your laptop computer (driver) 2) Run wireless utility (windows - Control Panel) 3) Select your wireless network (wireless networks availables) and connect.
If your wireless network have a wep key you need to know that in order to get connected.
To do that you need a wireless router connected to your modem or a wireless modem
Be sure first to have that installed first.

uninstall the bt desk top help first then the bt wireless connection , if ur wireless card has an utility use it to configure . the connection might be due the conflict between the wireless software. checked if ur getting limited or no connectivty if so delte and recreate the wireless profile, if ur using bt router like home hub or voyager go the router page with the ip for hub its 192.168.1.245 and navigate to advance and keep the wireless channel to 9 or 11 for voyager the its 193.168.1.1
It sounds like you don't have the units connected properly. Make sure you have a cable(wired) from your ethernet card on your pc connected to a wired port on the router. Then plug your router from its yellow port into the modem. Make sure your modem is connected to its Internet interface. Plug in your modem and wait 60 seconds for it to power up. Then power up the router.
At this point you should be able to access the router with the supplied installation CD. Run the setup assistant and it will define your wireless network. When you are through you should have internet access through the wired network. When you are finished you should be able to use the wireless network assuming you have the card installed correctly and the software for the card correctly installed.
Are you sure it is your wirless network?
Are you running XP?
