ours too, only it came back that way from the SERVICE CENTER!!!! Sent it from DC to BROOKLYN, spent $250 trying to get the power working again, which they did, but now the disc won't eject! we gave up and bought a sony handycam.

I had the same problem and tried for ages (even tried forcing the door open thinking I could just tape it shut) without luck.
Then my very clever wonderful husband had a go (I know i'm crawling and yes my knees hurt).

Any way to the relevant bit. If you hold the eject button down and at the same time slide a knife or similar object round the edge of the door where the screw is near where it says photo/select you'll find that the door opens as this is an override mechanism.

Have the same problem with my camera. What I do is push the disc eject button, and when the camera makes the noise to eject the disc, i manually pull on the dvd cover (at the top of the the dvd camera) to open it.

Sometimes it takes more than one try to open it.

Cd drive wont eject

Try ejecting it through "My Computer". Right click on the drive and select "eject". If you can't locate the drive, then it's probably missing the driver.

Philips 3360H - can't eject DVD

Try this..turn it off, unplug it for a min or two, then plug it back in. THEN...if the power stays off...hit the eject/open/close button on the panel.

Sometimes this activates the eject mode without turning on the unit. IF NOT, try the remote eject without turning on the unit.

1. You will need the Philips support to eject this DVD
call the tech support and they should give you the remote code to eject the DVD.

When I put a blank dvd+rw or dvd+r in it asks me to format,I say ok and then it asks the same question again,if I say no it ejects the disc.Hence i cant record anything.

It sounds like the discs are not compatible with your dvd recorder...if they're 16x, then try 8x and see if that helps. Also see if you can find a list of compatible discs in the manual or online. I hope this helps.
