I had the same problem and tried for ages (even tried forcing the door open thinking I could just tape it shut) without luck.
Then my very clever wonderful husband had a go (I know i'm crawling and yes my knees hurt).
Any way to the relevant bit. If you hold the eject button down and at the same time slide a knife or similar object round the edge of the door where the screw is near where it says photo/select you'll find that the door opens as this is an override mechanism.
Have the same problem with my camera. What I do is push the disc eject button, and when the camera makes the noise to eject the disc, i manually pull on the dvd cover (at the top of the the dvd camera) to open it.

Try ejecting it through "My Computer". Right click on the drive and select "eject". If you can't locate the drive, then it's probably missing the driver.
Hi, method 1: there will be a small tiny hole in the front panel below cd tray, insert a paperclip (don't use screw drivers) just flush it in smoothly and press eject button ,it will eject method 2: restart your system try to eject before the os loads, method 3: go to device manager find your device there and uninstall the driver and reinstall it i hope that any of the above method will work regards, cseian
It sounds like the discs are not compatible with your dvd recorder...if they're 16x, then try 8x and see if that helps. Also see if you can find a list of compatible discs in the manual or online. I hope this helps.
yup same problem
