White box when i go to turn it on all i get is a white square

on the tiny page at the right hand top corner is three symbols - {squares} and a white cross x in a red box.
Move the mouse pointer over the square boxes and click the left mouse button this should maximise the window.

go to settings and turn of roaming

The relay on a 1993 Volvo 240 is behind the glove box. Just remove the panel below the glove box and you should see a white square plastic box - this is the fuel pump relay.

Thats what I did and it worked

Calibrate the control panel

Use the following procedure to calibrate the control panel:

1. Turn the device off.

2. Press and hold the # key and the C key.

3. Turn the device on.

4. When a small white square appears in the upper-left corner of the control-panel display, touch

the square with a stylus.

5. When a small white square appears in the lower-left corner of the control-panel display, touch

the square with a stylus.

6. Allow the device to finish the boot process.

is the white square on the desktop or floating as a separate window? Can you use your PC and programmes OK, but it just looks rubbish?

If the latter I suspect that there is some sort of custom desktop which has been corrupted.

To change it right click anywhere on the desktop and choose properties. The choose desktop and swap the current one from anything on the list. Save and the background will change. If it is as I suspect the white square will also have vanished.

Unplug it, wait a minute and replug it. Also check the settings and see if it changed.

Turn off the closed-captioning. If it's set for text mode, the screen will blank out an area for the text to be displayed. On channels or programs where captions aren't being used you won't see any problems, but other times you'll have the mysterious black box. Many TV remotes have a single button to control captions, so it's easy to get into text mode without knowing it.

first try to go master reset,you can find this tools setting then initial set up, if nothing happen i recomend to sent your unit to any authorise service center near you,coz it might be a hardware problem...........

Mitsubishi list this problem and has a solution of replacing several small surface mounted caps and diodes. we have tried this repair 5 times and only successfully done it once. so replacing what is called the formatter board part # 930B924002 for around $ 350.00 usually repairs this type of failure, However changing this board is a time consuming thing and takes a lot of Patience. It is buried deep in the set and several other board have to be removed just to get to it
