Cannot remove battery from laptop

Push the battery removal button but NO battery comes out of the laptop? It is a toughbook CF-52, but used the CF-51 from the list.

The Panasonic CF52 indeed uses the same battery as
the CF51 or the CF29. Panasonic are smart and several
models share the same battery and battery part number.
To remove the battery on a CF52, you must first take off
the battery cover by pressing in and sliding the cover out
simultaneously. It is a little trick and you must press with force.
Once the cover is off, you will see either a yellow or blue
or green plastic TAB that is attached to the battery pack.
PULL on the TAB while holding the Battery Removal Button
at the same time. The battery pack should slide out.
Also please note that all modern Panasonic Toughbooks
have a Battery Calibration software factory installed
which can help to "Re-Generate" weak battery packs.
Good Luck!

Panasonic toughbook cf-48 two batteries went bad within a day

Place battery in freezer for 2 hours / remove and recharge, might make it last longer. (Removes any "memory" in them)

Might be worth checking the charger to ensure its working OK. Just becuase the light is on doesn't always mean its working.

I was on my Panasonic Toughbook CF 73 this morning, I had been using a wireless connection, but I could not get the wireless to work, so I plugged in the adapter and the phone line for dial up, I got...

On all Panasonic Toughbooks the following works.
Please unplug you Toughbook and remove the battery pack.
Then Please do not put the battery pack back in.
Without the battery pack, plug back in the Toughbook.
Try to start the Toughbook, it should work.
If it does not, try to hold down the power button for 12-15 seconds continuously. This should "reset" your Toughbook.

Good Luck.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-51 shutting down

Sue, it's not the inverter board. People who don't really know much about laptops will often diagnose them incorrectly, especially computer repair shops. The problem you're experiencing is most likely related to your motherboard. Unfortunately the most expensive part to replace on most laptops.

Your best bet is to probably just have any important files from the laptop extracted by a repair shop and then selling the computer "As-IS" on ebay. Or you could try another local repair shop to take a look at it. I wouldn't pay any money for a diagnostics since it would take most techs about 5-10 minutes to confirm what I just typed.

Sometimes CF-51 Toughbook doesn't even make it through BIOS

It is probably worn Hard Drive Caddy connections that are causing the problem. You could try buying a replacement caddy on e-Bay. I had the same problem and this cured it.

Dont know where the battery is

There's no such thing as a stupid question.
I'm unsure of the exact placement as I can't find a manual for the CF-51 but it's a longer battery so most likely runs from side to side underneath. Look for a tab you can slide to release. This would be located near the plug you use to charge it up as that would connect directly to the battery- USUALLY!! Don't worry about messing anything up. It's always a good idea to keep it turned off while doing this. If a battery doesn't pop out, push whatever it is back in and keep going. Let me know what you come up with. I'm keeping an eye on the site while watching the Ravens and Titans!

Cf 51

The drive is slotted into the left hand front of the laptop. If you turn the laptop upside down you will see 2 slider buttons. 1 is used to remove the battery and he other is to remove the hard disk. You push and hold the button and slide the hard disk out.
