Don´t Print my HP Officejet v40

I have a new laptop with OS Windows Vista. I run the install CD to this lap. My printer doesn´t work. I see all the properties and all is OK. Is the OS make some problem in the Driver?

I have the same problem, but my vista does not show the drivers. I have been chatting with HP about this and they can't seem to get me a driver either. All i want is the driver for the printer. The scanner function works great, but the printer will not install.

I can receive and send fax directly from V40 but not from computer to other at the same time.

    I can't print or scan.

I've tried to reinstall with the disk provided, no results

I've tried to find a driver on the internet and here I am.

Vista says that it has the drivers, but if the printer is shared from an XP machine. You still can't print. What were you thinking MS?

From what I can see Vista already has the drivers for this printer built in, so if you have installed the Windows XP drivers from CD you may need to remove them first and see how it goes with the standard Vista drivers.

Please note that some functions may not be available as this product is not completely Vista compatible.

More information available at HP HERE.

Hp officejet 4355 and DV6300 VISTA laptop. unable to install device driver for printer

Manually unzip the files and right click the setup.exe nd select "Run as Administrator" Vista and 7 are notorious for requiring this even if you are the administrator account.

I have HP Officejet 6500 connected via USB to office desktop. I also need print from vista laptops on the same wireless network as the desktop. How do you do it ?

Hi, I just completed this same query this week.

to set up my remote network i followed promts from windows and then had to run my windows xp startup disc on my vista laptop.

After that was complete i had to install the hp printer setup cd onto my vista laptop and connect the hp printer to my router using the ethernet cable. I followed the prompts on the vista as the cd continued to install. then at the end of it all it showed i had correctly installed the printer via wireless and asked me to do a practice print which i did and all seems fine.

I can now print from my vista laptop and my windows xp desktop. I hope this helps

HP812C and/or Epson LX300+ dot matrix Printers installed to a HP V3431 lap top computer would not print.

Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer websites rather then relaying on the old cdroms - they are probarbly outdated and made for XP.
